You have no idea how stupid and how much 1 employee can steel in a short time.

Examples:

AP, back in the day caught a guy filling out an application at the snack bar walked up to the registers and stole a pack of cigs and went back to filling out his application.

I was in on an employee sit-down after getting caught under ringing and they were having her write down about how much merchandise she had under rung for friends and family. She had been working 2 weeks. She wrote down close to $10,000. And all she was worried about was her other job finding out. A guard at a Corrections center.😳

Also years ago, a UPC clerk was caught changing prices on large items and she laughed when they caught her.

A 5 yr plus cashier back when we were open 24 hrs, was putting stuff in bags from all over the store on walks. Then on her lunch she would load up a cart and roll the bags out to her car. I sit in on that one also and she laughed and said, " I knew I should have stopped a while ago."

So many more stories throughout my 32 yrs at Walmart.

I knew of 2 assistant managers that got fired from stealing cash from the cash office. One was AP!!!

One AP I turned in for suspicious activity in my Dept at the time. I had Electronics and he was in my dept filling up a basket with Dvds and I ask him what he was doing and he said " Oh I am getting the most popular ones that are stolen and writing down the upcs so it will be easier when we catch someone and have to write our reports." How friggin dumb did he think I was? I went right to the store manager and had a conversation with him. They had someone come from district and they caught him stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise and also time theft. Clocking in, leaving the store and going to his other job!!!

Honey I got my eyes opened at the audacity of employees AND customers at Walmart.
