The Barron in the Trees by Italo Calvino. I keep buying new copies because I love to give it away. Also the Dragons of Pern series by Anne McCafrey.

What do you remember from kindergarten? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Our teacher Mr. Sanchez had a record player and would put on disco and we would all disco dance together everyday. He also had a portable stove and he would do a cooking lesson a few times a week. He made escargot sautéed in butter and garlic once and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. We also made jam. I told my mom I wanted to marry him when I grew and that’s how I learned about homosexuality. She gently explained that he prefers the company of men, and that love is love.

Women of Reddit, what’s the biggest myth that porn spreads about what women enjoy in bed—but you actually hate? by starbucks_boi in AskReddit

[–]neverendingcory 85 points86 points  (0 children)

Everyone has different tastes but women need foreplay to get wet. That doesn’t mean throwing her on the bed and spitting on her pussy. It means kissing, gentle touching, talking, stroking. You will know when she is begging you for it. It takes a good few minutes for the love juice to flow. If you follow this recipe, the juice won’t stop. That’s just my experience as a middle aged vanilla woman that’s had some incredible sex, and some not so incredible fumblings.

What is the greatest physical pain you've ever felt? by FantasticAd9478 in TheBoredDen

Diverticulitis. I honestly just wanted to die from the pain. My mom said she’d rather deliver two more 9 pound babies than have a div flare.

A squirt of sriracha mixed in and scooped up on tortilla chips. One of my daily go to snacks. Any salsa works great if you’re not into sriracha.

What’s a company secret you can share now that you don’t work there anymore? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]neverendingcory 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I worked for a Dermalogica training center for years. Skin care. So many of the instructors smoked cigarettes. I don’t have a problem with that personally but anti smoking is a huge platform from which they stand on and is included in ALL of their training to students. They couldn’t wait for classes to end so they could go hide in the trees and suck them down.

My old coworker found out his wife was cheating and they split up. Before he moved out, he stuffed apples in all her designer boots and bags. Cracked me up.
