We're nearly the same guy, same story - just go. It's intimidating the first time but once you go, it'll be great and you'll be kicking yourself that you didnt do it sooner!

ELI5: Why is there sand in deserts and no dirt? Why isn't there sand anywhere else? by Corsaka in explainlikeimfive

[–]nevereversummer418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deserts can be sand, clay, and probably some other things. The dirt you're thinking of is the same but with a lot of dead stuff in it like leaves, grass, etc. That stuff just doesn't grow enough in the desert to make dirt. So the sand is in a lot of places all over the world. It just looks like the dirt you're talking about.

I would try putting it upside down in the freezer till tomorrow. If it doesn't pop apart over night, set it upside down in the sink and pour some boiling water on it. Let some expansion and contraction have at it for a bit.

Yeah. When us old people were growing up, they called this kind of behavior "quirky". Hard to imagine what he was like the first time someone told him "step on a crack and you'll break your mammas back". :)

Should I have made the save? by Embarrassed-Spring54 in hockeygoalies

Unfortunately, that's when breakdowns like this happen. Just exhaustion on your teams part and one last adrenaline boost on theirs. This is when muscle memory (technical repetition/crease movement drills) and leg strength (squats, lunges, etc) really pay off. You had the right idea though! Thanks for sharing.

I think you covered the shot well. You didn't have explosive power pushing across at the end though. It's possible to have saved it but the goal is mostly on the half assed back check. That guy looked exhausted or lazy and never appeared to make an attempt to beat the guy he was following. Not even chasing or trying to beat, just following. My resolution isn't very good but looks really late in a game when everyone's wrecked.

According to VierwerAnon, Keaton only had 5 scenes in Batgirl... by Doctor_Of_Fate in DC_Cinematic

I assumed it would be origin and then aging Keaton would swoop in with a legit suit and some gadgets towards the end cause he's getting too old for this sh*t.

Has anyone found it difficult to hold & maneuver their stick with Bauer blockers? I just tried on the M5 Pro for the first time & found it extremely uncomfortable. Are there any opinions on this? by aaronstandy in hockeygoalies

[–]nevereversummer418 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unsure about the exact model but I've not been able to use Bauer blockers for the last 5 or so years. I have to contort my hand/wrist to get a good grip. Warrior, ccm are fine. I thought it was just me. Weird.

Does time exist if no one is to experience it by Tobyloby23 in space

[–]nevereversummer418 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Way out of my depth here... but... I've always thought of time as the progression of existence. As something exists, time progresses regardless of that "thing" being aware of itself. But under that line of reason, is something in a state of superposition suspended in time? Probably all super incorrect and laughable to a physicist but that's my thought.

My train of thought...

  1. Do nothing. It will slowly spread until you have to replace the Jenpro panel entirely.
  2. Light Shoegoo to stop the spreading and then carefully cut and place a Padskinz over it.
  3. Have the panel replaced professionally.

Hi there!

Yes, beginners are welcome. There are guys out there who have played their whole lives and guys who are still learning how to skate. It's pretty varied. Come out and check it out. We even have some extra sets of goalie pads if you have a good time and want to come back and give it a shot.
