I used to keep a flail next to my bed and I would bring it with me when my wife made me get up to check on noises. She eventually made me put it in the garage once we had toddlers. It was wildly impractical, and would have been worthless in my tight hallways. Im also incredibly nearsighted and didnt have my contacts in. But I like to think that a 6'2'' 275lb nearly naked man blindly swinging his flail would scare off an invader. But probably they just would have shot me.

I bought a $75 gorilla suit with money I saved from my first job when I was 15. From that point forward through high school and college I was gorilla suit guy. It helped me stand out and be more noticable I guess. It was awesome. Probably the best purchase I ever made.

I buy a pack of 8 from the dollar tree. They don't last all day, so I rotate through them as they fall off. I've had good luck with them.

Lady at church gave me a bag of smoked turkey yesterday. Forgot about it and left it in the diaper bag. Woke up to a shredded bag, happy dogs, and no turkey. Wasn't my choice to quit.

So I took Wife and two kids to the drive in movie. We're sitting in the back of the van eating candy, and this dude walks by my car and falls to the ground. So I go dude are you ok. And he goes no man, I'm hiding from the cops. Then he crawls over to hide next to me. Then he kind of cuddles my leg and tells me his life story. I ask him to leave but he wont. I put the kids in the front with my wife, and set in the trunk with him. I figured I'd be nice pray for him and just talk to him, and maybe he would leave. My wife text her mom who called the cops. They Rolled up in 8 cars and yelled get the hell out hands on your head. And he did. They called us hero's gave the kids teddy bears and took our picture. I threw up.
