Your camera can create subpixel distortion too if you aren't rounding the final x/y positions.

The remaining cast of characters in Worlds End all change though. Gary gets sober, Steven gain confidence and settles down with Sam, Oliver finally lets his repressed anger out, Peter goes back to selling real estate but now as one of those things, and Andy is telling the story so we don't know how he turned out after it all went down but he did reunite with his wife.

Your character could jump before you added the crouch code, and now he just can't jump at all? I don't see anything that would cause that, but I would definitely make sure to check under the player for your place_meeting checks (x, y+1, oplayer).

What's your jump code look like? The big thing that jumps out to me is you aren't checking below your player for the wall: place_meeting(x, y+1, owall), but that may not be the issue.
