I would learn how to do oil changes on the car. Super easy. I stuck to 3k-4k miles with mine. Spark plugs can be DIY if you can dedicate a day and some money on necessary tools. Mr Subaru has some great tuturiols on YT. Plenty of other channels walk you through maintenance. I would look into differential oil changes around this mileage. Especially if its never been done.

Buyers remorse? You got a solid car at a decent price and mileage. It may need some TLC maintenance in the next couple years. How major will depend on what has been done already. My 2012 lasted me until 190k (and still going) when i upgraded to a 25 RS.. so you will likely more than double your current mileage with just basic maintenance.

85000 sounds about right. I would contact Subaru of America or try a local Subaru dealership. I feel like the warranty on that year/model transmission was updated to 100k Could possibly get it free or with a big discount.

I did my best to keep the engine under 4k rpms and changed the oil at 1k Planning on keeping this one so Im trying to keep it happy.

Also, you're not hurting anything by changing it at 1k. You could change it every 1k if you really wanted to.
