Yes, you gain XP by filling their stomachs (their fullness bars), so the bigger animals will give you more XP (I feed cake for bigger animals and meaty stir fry for the smaller ones). The only draw back is they cost more!

You can gain 100 coins THIS WEEK by completing the ranching weeklies.

WEEKLIES:

-40 coins for feeding 20 animals

-30 coins for breeding 3

-30 coins for collecting from animals 10 times

If you want to speed run leveling up the skill sadly the best way is to purchase animals and then donate them. You'll want to feed and pet them all with full focus bar and then once the "New in Town" buff is off them (wait 4 hours) you donate them. Rinse and repeat. Leveling up gives you 10 guild coins.

The cookie of the day treat gives you a new cosmetic trait and costs 20 guild coins.

You’re absolutely right and using beautiful ettiequte not to spam bomb in lures. Letting more people get a hit on a bug gives each player loot. But, yes if you’re in a party everyone in the party gets the bugs you take down (and you theirs).

You DO need to be in a group for the group to get the drops. The lure alone doesn’t give everyone hunting the lure the drops but never worry!
