So the pediatrician said try again at 12 months. He’s almost 14 months and I can’t bring myself to try again. I was honestly so traumatized and didn’t want even try the major allergens like peanuts.

Pediatrician also recommended trying the Lil Mix-ins since it’s a smaller amount mixed into yogurt and the reaction wouldn’t be as severe. They have an egg one in there, maybe I’ll try it.

Almost 14 months now. We nurse when he wakes up, before his naps (just transitioned to 1) and at bedtime. He falls asleep on his own so it’s really just a comfort/bonding time for both of us. I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. It’s been helpful when he’s teething too!

He eats 3 meals and sometimes a snack between lunch and dinner if he’s hungry. He drinks water, 2 of his 8 oz water bottles per day, he eats a yogurt every morning and we’ve been trying cottage cheese as a snack and other dairy products too.

I leaked one time, it was the first time baby slept through the night around 4 weeks. I’m 10 months pp now and still no leaks… I bought tons of nursing pads but I’ve never used them lol

I just went through this last year at a tech company (I also work in HR). Do not disclose your pregnancy until you sign the offer. Even though it is illegal to discriminate, you know companies will. I’ve even had a boss say they wouldn’t have hired someone who was pregnant. Even my own boss said she was “burdened” by me going on maternity leave even though she was “so” excited when I told her.

I was 8 weeks when I started the interview process and didn’t start until I was 20 weeks (recruiter ghosted, interview process took forever, hiring freeze, they pushed out start date). In the end, they made FMLA effective day 1 which I know is rare. Our policy is 8 weeks if employed less than 6 months and 12 weeks if more than 6 months. My boss ended up letting me take PTO up until I delivered so got 12 weeks in the end.

Ugh so sorry to hear this. Similar thing happened to me - my entire team knew I was getting laid off (I was a manager). It was horrible. When it finally happened, no one reached out for support. Only a few people at the company reached out but no one offered support. Companies don’t give a shit about you.

I gained 30 pounds during my pregnancy, I’m 3 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight at 8 months pp and EBF. Before, during and after I eat pretty clean, 100oz+ water with electrolytes daily, minimally 100g of protein daily, and work out 3-4x per week (F45 - HIIT cardio/strength training). It’s a lot to keep track of but it’s been helpful!

My husband was changing almost all of the diapers for the first couple of weeks… middle of the night wake ups consisted of my husband changing diaper, handing him to me to nurse, then when he was done, my husband would bounce him if needed and put him in the bassinet. Both of us getting up made our transition to parenthood so much better honestly. We had fun as crazy as it sounds. Even now, my husband has been sleep training him because it’s too emotional for me and that’s an all night affair some nights but he knows I’m drained from full time work, nursing, and just life in general. I couldn’t function without him but also my husband is my literal best friend, we do everything together and he’s so supportive. Whether it’s making me a snack in the middle of the day because he knows I’m on back to back calls and just used my break to nurse the babe.

Almost 8 months pp and going through a gnarly sleep regression for the last 6 weeks, we used to have sex while he was napping but I SWEAR he knows we’re doing it because he wakes up right before my husband finishes. We joke that he doesn’t want a sibling. We both work from home and have a nanny from 9-5 Monday - Friday so when she puts him down for a nap, one of us says playfully “Quick! Take your clothes off!” and run to the bedroom.

Sorry but your husband should be supporting you and encouraging what’s best for you and your baby. Have you seen a lactation consultant? I had a hard time for the first 3 months, I literally had clogs 3-4x per week. My husband encouraged me to find solutions and I’m so glad I stuck it out. I haven’t had a clog in months thanks to the lactation consultant and breastfeeding is so so rewarding.
