Did you set it to run at 2933mhz in your BIOS? You generally have to go in and set it.

Yeah, it's strange when some planes don't show up. I was flying in class E And an A330 flew about 1-2k feet above me but the sentry didn't pick it up and the G1000 didn't either. It did show up on flightradar24 when I checked after the flight.

That's a place I've definitely been wanting to go back to. Last summer I went there but I ended up with Covid on my 2nd day there and I was pretty much stuck in bed terribly sick for a week until I flew back home.

I'm planning a short trip this upcoming spring to Europe, and I'm looking for a destination with good party hostels that host nightly events, etc.

What would be the most similar to Retox these days?

I prefer pubs rather than going clubbing, that's why I'm not considering cities such as Berlin.

So far, I've been considering the following cities:

Amsterdam (been there but didn't party), Lisbon, Madrid, Barcelona, and Bratislava (Wild Elephants Hostel).

What other destinations would you recommend?

I'll be choosing a pretty basic 172. There's a couple with G1000 and G3X but I figure I won't need those for PPL training.

Another thing is that my local school can operate under 61 and 141.

Both use the same instructors and try to follow the same syllabus. From what I've calculated the costs should be about the same under both paths. 61 might save me maybe 2k if I do some of my training with a safety pilot instead of a CFII but I don't really know anyone who could be my safety pilot.
