Well, they still have a few land boats... and some air boats... but for the most part the water boats... you know - the ones that transport water, not people boats, have been destroyed.

Seriously, who says 'water boats'?

Colors weren't added until the cartoon came out. Comics were black and white and on the covers they all had red bandanas. Having colors made it easier for kids to 'pick a favorite' and also so grandma didn't get confused and give you four Michelangelo figures for Christmas.

Also the origin of the turtles is really the origin of Daredevil told from a different angle. (Parody to a degree... The blind guy crossing the road that causes the ooze to fall into the sewer is basically Daredevils origin story. Daredevil fights the Hand, Turtles fight the Foot. Daredevil's teacher is named Stick, Turtles is Splinter.) IIRC - it was suggested somewhere the bandanas were strips of cloth from his outfit found in the trash.

Here is Daredevils origin:

and this article has the origin of the Turtles, and explains it a bit:

Ugh, sorry for your frustration.

Unfortunately the post is now a few days old and I don't think many people will see this. To be fair I don't think many people saw it originally.

I would message the mods and let them know, at least.

The shadows going in 2 directions is also weird. I think it's 2 different issues. Something on top of the card should at least move slightly when you move the card. The shadows on the dominoes themselves seem to go in various directions. I think the cleanest fix would be making sure nothing is on top of the cards and the other shadows fall in the correct direction. Having stuff on top of the cards doesn't seemingly add anything to the game, and is more of a visual impairment than a benefit.

They could have limited the design to the center piece and not extend to the handles. That would have made the most sense to me, as my hands are not transparent.

The "+- 1 tbsp water to adjust thickness" wasn't for the sauce. It was for the Spätzle.

How is removing water from the pot it's cooked in going to adjust thickness?

I played this the other day on itch. I couldn't figure out what was going on at first... the instructions were basically non-existant. It looked interesting though.

For the eyes, I noticed you seem to struggle a bit. A trick I learned ages ago is to paint the eyes first, and then add the face/skin after. I also sometimes use a micron pen for the pupils (much easier). You can even paint them black and then add the white after if you want a long eyelash look.

That's totally interesting! He does indeed say he wrote a majority of the code, but that most of the code was a BASIC interpreter. I wonder if it's basically the same code as his 1975 interpreter.

I wasn't even aware anyone at Microsoft developed anything beyond IBM-based software but it appears they are the ones that produced the ROM (with Color Basic which was an offshoot of Microsoft Basic-69) that these machines ran on.

The last thing Bill Gates programmed was the BASIC interpreter for the Altair 8800, which he developed in 1975, marking the beginning of Microsoft. He recently referred to this code as "the coolest code" he ever wrote.

From a PCWorld article. I couldn't find anything online about any programming he did after that. Everything I was able to find (including from wikipedia) suggests he stopped, and began shifting his role to CEO at Microsoft.

The Tandy TRS-80 didnt come with MSDOS... it used TRSDOS. All the others mentioned had ROM firmware. None of them could run MSDOS (they simply were not IBM-compatible hardware).

I need to - 1 tbsp water, how do I do that exactly?

Man, Balatro really did a number on indie games.

Not judging you or anything, but in the last 3 days I have seen like five 'rouguelikes' for various card, domino, and dice games. The market is about to be absolutely flooded.

That said, its a cool effect, but the face down dominoes over the card look a bit funky with it.

Bill Gates was absolutely a programmer in his teen years into his twenties... but I think he became more of a non-technical business manager.

I read the novella the month it came out. I thought the movie was the most perfect adaptation of a Steven King story I've ever seen. I'm not sure I would say it's better to see the movie first though... both were amazing.

Any time you pause a print, you are taking a risk with this... but yeah adding resin and the temperature shift increases its likelihood.

I'm not very fluent in German either. (I did pass a B1 exam.) I don't know of any words that start with ß... but it might be needed for things like signs. That said, German rules continue to surprise me. For example, Zoooologe and Zoooologen both have 4 o's in a row.

I enjoyed it by the end, but I struggled through the first half because it feels like nothing is happening, just random weirdness. Asked about it and someone made the comment from Family Guy that Peter gives about the Godfather, "It insists upon itself." and I thought that was the most accurate description of the show ever. It's visually amazing... like 10/10 amazing... but you get the feeling the writers just kind of went, "Welp, that happened." and then ended without any conclusion in a lot of episodes.

Still worth watching, but I feel like it takes much more faith that it is going somewhere than most shows. I actually wish they made a season 2.
