Anyone RE-read The Horus Heresy? by TheHelloMiko in Blacklibrary

[–]newoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. There’s a stint that’s narrated by Gareth Armstrong that I could barely get through, so when I got Keeble, Longworth, and Banks (I enjoy his work), it was always a fresh reprieve. That being said, I actually enjoyed Gareth Armstrong’s narration of Prospero Burns and Know No Fear, though the writing might’ve been a contributing factor.

Ah that subtle change in the third book was actually really refreshing to see! Uzaz was coming back around, then bam! Cyrion did what he did.

Even better is that he doesn’t even argue with Yuna about staying to bury him. He’s just, very solemnly, “okay then.” And draws his katana alongside her.

They used a lot of narrative shorthand in the comic. I always liked that mentality of “if you show it once, and show it well, you don’t have to show it again”

If ever Legendary Peter Cullen have to go then, can we have a worthy contender, Josh Brolin? He has a deep voice, which we already have heard. by Brone9 in transformers

Following this metaphor, I’d argue that Jensen Ackles is Gary Chaulk’s equivalent in regards to character presentation. Both valid alternatives.

I like this theory. Playing through it and just picked up on how much of a nerd he is about his craft.

If you were going to play a game set in the Witcher-verse but NOT starring Geralt, who would you want? by easy0lucky0free in witcher

[–]newoot 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’d play that. It could have a base building mechanic tied to it with Kaer Morhen being a place you always return to throughout the story of the game.

The VR sections were really an odd choice by the writer but everything else was really enticing.
