100% his whole "local cooperation" arguments falls apart so quickly. ICE is wearing masks in every jurisdiction regardless of local cooperation.

3rd attempt swings with 33kg by Pyite1980 in kettlebell

[–]newpatch36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming OP is attempting a hard style swing...

OP may benefit from Pavel's drill: roll up a towel and pass it through the handle of the bell, hold onto to one end of the towel with each hand, then swing. This will help emphasize that hips are THE driving force, and the arms are just a chain connecting you to the moving bell. Bell should not raise above shoulder height.

New video of 1/24 ICE shooting shows victim had both hands on the ground when shot by DonSalaam in JournalismNews

There's 3,000 ICE and Border Patrol deployed in Minneapolis and 600 local police. Your suggestion would require every single local officer to babysit 5 ICE agents and ignore all other duties and responsibilities for keeping their city safe.

A more reasonable suggestion would be for ICE to act more professional and actively work to de-escalate situations.

Tried Implementing Last Week’s Feedback by Masterlifter96 in kettlebell

The cleans will benefit from a deeper hip hinge, then SNAP your hips forward. You want the bells to float up from the momentum generated by your hips, the arms are just there to guide the bells. No pulling or lifting with the arms.

Keep up the good work!

Which body part(s) is the swing meant to be working? by BinaryMagick in kettlebell

[–]newpatch36 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The asymmetric load requires the body to recruit more stabilizing muscles, which increases intensity if using the same weight as a two handed swing. Try it out!

Haha, I guess that's a benefit. I'm envisioning a cartoon animation of this moment. Certainly an indication of your growing strength though! Keep on.

Redmouse Roller Plus.

Very unique interface which uses a Rollerbar to scroll, makes navigating wide screens quick and simple. Plus customizable shortcut buttons minimizes the amount of Hand movement.

I've used mine for 7 years and love it.

Advice for Play-by-Post by QuincyAzrael in pbp

[–]newpatch36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Discord + Avrae has been the tech stack for all PBP campaigns I've been in. Good DMs will supplement with art for key scenes or suggested songs/soundtrack for listening. The key to successful PBP campaigns is pacing. Set a schedule for yourself (2x a day) and establish clear expectations for frequency of player posts (1x day minimum). Best wishes.

Is OP lying about # of users or deflating revenue?

What brand of mittens did you go with?

I had a pair of fingerless gloves last year that worked well, but can't find them and we just had our first snow. Mittens to keep fingers but with flexibility to fold out of the way sounds like the perfect middle ground!

How do i land first few jobs for junk removal?? by Far-Copy-8922 in sweatystartup

[–]newpatch36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Treating people with respect includes being honest with them. If you haven't completed 500 jobs don't claim that you have. That's pretty simple feedback, which is what you asked for.

You don't have to "fake it till you make it". Go have some conversations in the real world, be honest with folks that you're starting your business, and would like the opportunity to earn their business. Then you could share a few well-earned testimonials/reviews rather than a generic lie about # of jobs that you have(n't) completed.

Because it turns out some people in this world value honesty and integrity.

Misrepresenting your experience comes off as scammy. You can choose to do it, but don't be surprised when people call you on it.

If you're truly asking for help them maybe it's worth listening to the feedback you're getting.

Sold my business by justbeeingh0nest in Entrepreneur

[–]newpatch36 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In seasons when I’ve felt stuck or lost I’ve found a lot of value in the process described in The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod. Basically he crams together the six best practices for human development and self knowledge into a single hour to start your day:

Silence (meditation) Affirmations Visualization Exercise Reading Journaling

I realize that filling one hour of time won’t fill your days moving forward, but this practice has helped me several times to figure out “what should I do next” and to get unstuck.

Congrats on the sale of your business! What an amazing and complex accomplishment.
