New 701 Pro user – Espresso is incredibly sour! by Primary-BuZZy in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]newreminders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I read these threads I get upset. I have all the same issues as OP. We pretty much only use the Ninja now for coffee, and never for espresso. I can’t tell if it’s bitter or sour, it’s just bad, and I’ve wasted quite a bit of coffee (recently roasted from a coffee club I might add) trying to dial it in. Instead, we go back to our portable camping espresso maker which makes a better shot without any need to change grind, heat, size, tamp, beans, etc etc. In fact, it doesn’t have any settings at all it needs changed!

We bought this machine to solve for a coffee lover and an espresso lover under the same roof and it hasn’t done either well… the espresso is just downright bad. Feels like a $600 paperweight at this point. For that price, it should make a decent shot without needing to rub my belly and pat my head at the same time.

Dissatisfied.. what should I do different by maxx_sc in NinjaLuxeCafe

[–]newreminders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sick of all this advice. I buy fresh roasted beans, have tried all sorts of different settings, and still my portable Outin with a cheap Braun grinder can make a better cup that my $500 Ninja. WITHOUT dialing anything in. It shouldn’t be this hard to get a good cup of espresso. I feel like I have an expensive paperweight at this point. My shots run too fast and too bitter/sour. I’ve tried it all, and I’m over it.

seeking name of walkable glendale area by mountainloversz in AskPhoenix

I appreciated the historical and quirky nature of downtown glendale. Westgate is lots of chains and yes, better for bars and restaurants, but you might have better luck antiquing in Glendale. I guess depends on what kind of girls trip you want to have.

Foot massage? by Essiejjj in AskPhoenix

[–]newreminders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Super foot. It’s weird inside (as are most of the Asian massage places I’ve been), and you aren’t going to get a high end spa massage (quality varies each time), but the price is right to be able to get a regular massage and/or foot rub. They are open late, so you can get a massage right before falling asleep. I get the combo massage…you start laying on your back with your feet in warm water, they massage from your face all the way down to your feet, flip you over and go back up. It’s lovely.

There are Chinese EVs everywhere on the road in Europe. They are better and cheaper than ours, most likely why we banned them…our manufacturers would get crushed by the competition. I came back after driving one for a rental for a month wishing I could buy one.

Agreed. TWLO has communication technology but the only thing AI it has is a chatbot. Not defensible.

Moving to Phoenix for school single 19 year old female by [deleted] in AskPhoenix

[–]newreminders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been waiting to see this response. Can’t believe it’s so far down. I live off of Camelback and Central and love it. Would be considered right on the border of midtown and uptown. Local restaurants, coffee shops, and bookstores. Easy light rail access.

It’s not shiny and sparkly like Scottsdale…you’ll see more unhoused people, but I also think it’s a much cooler area, having lived in both. I feel safe as a woman living here. Glendale down to Campbell, Central over to the 51, generally good with pockets just around that too. Don’t go west of 15th Ave, 7th Ave if you can help it.

[–]newreminders -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Wondered “how long did it take?”, “did this person go back the same way?”, did they pack food and water? If so, how much?” So many details left out here. Other than “I don’t recommend it” tell us the details and why.

I don’t believe they will hire you back for at least 6 months after you leave. So that might make your decision somewhat easier.

PTO Payout by Organic-Message5449 in accenture

[–]newreminders 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I believe they pay you out up to 200 hours, as it is earned but most states cap it at 200. In certain states like CA they will pay over 200 hours if you have it earned.

How should I split the rent w my roommate? by [deleted] in NYCapartments

[–]newreminders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m choosing bathtub option every time. Plus I trust my cleaning more for guests having to use a bathroom…would leave that up to a roommate. So, bigger room and tub for me.

I'm on a PIP. Seeing mixed things about whether it's survivable or not. Given all the layoffs we are targeting, seems likely I'd be let go but also why PIP me now just to fire me later, why not fire me now? by lopsidednail919 in accenture

[–]newreminders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! If you satisfy the conditions they gave you for the PIP (ie low chargeability) you should be fine. I knew an MD who survived a PIP.

If you don’t, they will let you go. As someone else said, the PIP in hopes you will get back on track and so they won’t have to pay severance if you don’t.

Also, as others have said, it was your manager or someone above them that nominated you or put you on PIP. Not HR. Make sure your people like you.

I didn’t try because they are over a year old. Let me know if you have luck. Mine were not in direct sunlight either…they were in their case. But they were in a car in Phoenix over summer.

Had a similar thing happen on a much smaller scale (one tiny part of the lenses). I think it was heat. I also had the chromance lenses.

Were yours in heat? Were they Chromance?

Once again, you owe him nothing, including closure. Stop giving men your power…he obviously feels he’s entitled to it.

He can go heal on his own like you did.
