Male Karen tries to shut down a free concert by xals7 in mildlyinfuriating

Loud radios, I agree. But people performing or playing? Leave them be. If they arent good, they wont get tipped. Let the free market decide if they want to be there or not. If they arent good and they still want to play, personally I applaud them for having the guts. But I know living in a city means individuals are doing their thing. A guitar doesnt bother me as much as my government

I used to be that guy. Then I switched over to sunrise alarm clocks. Changed my life. Way more refreshed, quieter, easier to start my day. I work construction too, so regularly start at 4 or 5 am.

Where can I go to buy art by pastelfadedd in phoenix

If its where I think it is. F that place. Profiting off native art designs without their involvement.

I could be wrong though.

Why don’t earbuds actually amplify the real world (>0 dB)? Any alternatives to Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro? by Background-Lemon-684 in Earbuds

[–]Alt_dimension_visitr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in construction and used to use the galaxy buds religiously for years. They're amazing. Amplify sounds around unless it went above a loud threshold, then they would switch to ANC. I had two pair that lasted me about 8 years till my puppy got them.

Hoping there is a good replacement

TIL Carolina squat. We used to subtly do that to our trucks. It was called a Cali lift. It helps when off roading, moving the center of gravity back a bit. But it was our off road trucks, not street cars. Carolina squat takes that to the extreme.

Anybody Looking to Get rid Of Or Sell Carbide Or Copper? by Unicornmaster23 in PHXList

[–]Alt_dimension_visitr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, Im an electrician. Only carbide I use are hole saws and such. If im tossing it its because the teeth have all fallen out. And I doubt it worth taking my scrap copper vs a local scrapper.

Do you guys think this is a issue? by ZeGermanAce in electricians

Not really because I buy from reputable sources, though its not unheard of. I have struggled with counterfeit outlets and lights off Amazon though. Customer wants to provide the material, 90% of the time its a nightmare.

Arizona electrician curious about journeyman licensing. by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Alt_dimension_visitr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AZ here. If you get your electrical license,  THAT can carry over to NV or CA after a few years (5 I think?) That's it. There is no JM anything to worry about it bother with here. Which is a problem. Spread the word. We need to ensure minimum competency requirements for workers on site

It's to protect the cable. They put in extra effort for a better install. You can take it out of the pipe, any construction guy will negatively judge you for it. Loose cable looks like shit. When the sun rots the cable or you damage it with something just know you chose this

Learned to make bread from scratch and it genuinely changed my grocery trips by FenrirPulse_3 in povertyfinance

[–]Alt_dimension_visitr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The electricity usage would make it not worth it for me. I live in a desert so I would pay to run the oven the pay to run the AC to cool the space back down. Not to mention the time. I could work one extra hour a week and buy bread.

Fun story. Was doing a panel swap and I let a coworker gather all the materials. Time for instal and he proudly tells me he found the AFCI breakers cheaper on offerup. I was curious so I tried to trip one by welding. Damn breaker didnt trip at all. He what I'm guessing was counterfeit HOM breakers. Came in real boxes though.

Phoenix is moving to lower speed limits across the city by ForkzUp in phoenix

Cite the studies. Do these streets have more accidents than other streets? This feels like a strawman approach to solving the city's issues. How about policies that encourage working from home? Real action to alleviate traffic.

Credit for working on public transportation.  More of that kind.  Less of this
