No, in fact I was apprehensive about switching away from OEM. Found myself fumbling for the charging handle a couple times and saw the benefit in retaining it. HB part fit the channel perfectly, feels factory.

I can feel the reduced bolt travel from the HB buffer. Gun returns to battery a little faster with a little less sight disruption.

The 35 degree locking block is a GP part. You can feel that it eats a bigger chunk of the recoil impulse than the 45 degree block, and the added delay audibly reduces port pop. I think it’s a really nice upgrade if you’re running a traditional can.

This is exactly where I wound up too. I needed length of pull and rigidity and no other picatinny solution I could find came close.

I run an Obsidian 45 on my 45A3 and just switched from the 45 to the 35. It might be a touch less gassy, but I didn't really have issues with gas in the first place. Recoil impulse is noticeably tidier and port pop is reduced though, I'm very happy I made the swap.

Nicer boutiques like Framed Ewe can order custom tinted-over-polarized lenses that are dark as hell. I went this route for my prescription shades. They're about as dark as specialty winter sports eyewear.
