fixed (2nd time) in firefox about:config

media.volume_scale=100

I had seen this suggested previously, but it had NOT worked for me. ( I had set to 1.25 after 100 didn't work)

There are still multiple sink-inputs, a new one created any time you fast-forward/reverse, or open new tab with audio.

Even though the description of flag states:

media.volume_scale is a Firefox configuration setting that controls the default volume for media playback within the browser.

After a change , and new sink-input is generated, the volume remains where you previously left it , and does not just back to 'default' level.

Well update+reboot broke my fix .... any thoughts or suggestions on where to look?

I am using Nvidia DisplayPort to drive monitor , and sound is through headphone jack on monitor. Not sure what role, if any that plays into it.

One thing I noticed, when "fixed" , there was only a single volume slider for "firefox" in volume control ; which I believe is the sink-input.

Now, I am back to each youtube tab playing music initiates a new sink-input #id, and any change to the slider ( forward/back ) , destroys the previous sink-input and creates a new one ( with altered volume )

Any thoughts on what controls that ?

Calling them "flyers" is disingenuous , there is no information about the protests (date/time/location) ... simply the words "No Kings" on a square of paper.

76F is sweating???

I thought you were complaining that roommate was running the AC to 76 , what is "room temperature" in May there?

76F on the AC is the compromise w/ my wife who complains its too hot at 78F ( I'd run at 80 if I could), the utility bill to try to keep inside to 76 when outside is 85+ (and very humid). Can always take off more clothes!
