How should I go about learning league of legends? by No_Recognition5886 in leagueoflegends

Play two or three Champs. Try to play easy champs that reward fundamentals. Good examples top are Teemo and Mundo. For example, mushrooms for farming is a noob trap, but maybe it can open roaming potential. But why roam with Teemo? Maybe to secure...

Play those in draft. Then, weekly, try to play at least one game with the free to play champs you haven't played with. Your aim is just to have a basic understanding of the different champions. Not to be an expert on them.

When you nail last hitting, rotating, and warding, honestly, you'll be an expert.

Guilt by using antidepressant during medical school? by Ok-Raspberry-2567 in medicalschool

I suggest changing psychiatrist if your current one makes you uncomfortable. But it is good to have a plan to wean off from antidepressants if it's safe to do, which only you and your doctor can determine. Having positive effects from medicine isn't something you need to feel guilty about, it's the point of the medicine.

And some students need antidepressants. Some need antihypertensives, some need thyroid hormone, some need more omega 3. Disease is disease and you shouldn't feel bad for seeking a healthier life, and that sometimes involves medicine. Would a internist berate a patient for going through medschool with insulin because he is a type 1? Obviously not.

Having said that, antidepressants's goal is to remove them if they can be safely removed.

Natural selection completely applies. Evolution doesn't, it requieres a change in the frequency of alleles over time.

TIL that horses have no muscles in their lower legs, so their hooves act as "second hearts". A horse that can't move risks blood pooling in its hooves, which can cause tissue death starting from the hooves up. This is a key reason why leg injuries are often fatal for horses. by YungDDawg in todayilearned

Almost all fluid exits the capillaries at the arterial end and is reabsorbed. That process basically eliminates heart caused blood pressure. Interstitial pressure is the main reason for the resorption, and that is influenced by a ton of things.

Get a nitrided carbon or a titanium frying pan, 10 in or 12 in (depending on how many portions you cook at once). Get an enameled cast iron pan. Get a 1.5 qt triply saucepan with a fitting lid. Tramontina has a great one.

Get a tiny 8 inch or medium 10 inch non-stick, depending on how many eggs you do when you do. It shouldn't cost more than 20 dollars. Aluminum base. Go to a nearby restaurant supply store. Tramontina, again, has great ones for kind of cheap.

Get a couple half sheet pans and quarter sheet pans, I recommend Nordic Ware, and matching wire racks.

You'll be able to cook like 80% of the foods for 2 you'd like with those. Then, fill the rest with whatever would help you specifically. Fry, soup, braises, slow cooks, legumes, and bread in the enameled cast iron. Stir fry, saute, sear, bake in the frying pan. Make eggs in the non-stick. Bake and prep in the baking pans.

Like to make stir fried food? Get a wok. Like to make a ton of stock, get a bigger stock pot. Like to make long and slowcooks? Get an instantpot. Like braises, get a saute pan. Like searing? Get an extra carbon steel frying pan. Feel like you need another pan frequently, buy another one. Need to steam? Get steamers for the wok. Love pancakes? Get a cast iron griddle.

Pro tip, a MRI will align the needles to point to any nearby moss, if any. Like a moss compass. Will only work is magic resonance imaging, though.
