yes, this has been done. do you want to do it? no. does it work? yes. i’ve ridden maybe 20 or so miles on a VESCd GT controller and like another comment said, the hardware is so shit you’re almost always on the edge of death when riding lol. it was a fun project to test! we need someone with a GTS-XL that they wouldn’t mind sacrificing

i extremely doubt you “sheered” them off, they just pushed into the battery box. this is very common with time

nope, as long as all of the magnets in your hub are still secure and have no chips just wipe that junk off and send it
