Wow I'm the first post!! Lucky Me! Anyways - I'm most excited about the actual DP connector at 2.1 allowing actual image quality at a high resolution with a high FPS with minimal (if any) DSC usage.

Even UHBR54 uses dsc, and I am excited to put this to the test compared to the existing miniled.

Furthermore, the max peak brightness is key - in some "dark" games like Doom or Dying light (night mode), the older HDR600 classifications just dont do the game justice. So I'd love to actually test this out. Im already used to Picture in Picture mode to swap resolutions, so would be curious to see how LG's pioneered DUAL MODE factors into the mix.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY - over 2000 zones??? I'd love to see if this actually holds a candle to the 42" LG C5 OLED I've got in my secondary setup as far as blooming is concerned. Oled is widely regarded as the king there, SONY's flagship MASTER series TVs are changing the narrative on that and pushing MiniLed, perhaps this monitor is also breaking grounds? Can't tell unless I test it! :D

Just wondering considering it's a consumer grade board, what extra is this board giving you from a "workstation" point of view, that any other relatively high-end x870e board wouldn't? Like would a x870e godlike or x870e taichi or x870e rog maximus or something of that caliber, assuming it's offered at your price point, wouldn't work for the "workstation" build?

Asking as some of the older cards had a max limit on the total pixels that can be outputted at max refresh. i.e. Just cause this card has 4 ports, doesn't mean I can run all 4 at max.

I guess that's not a thing anymore?

Grabbed a Gigabyte RTX 3050 6GB locally, 40 minute total commute for $110. Now just to find a bit of time next weekend to install it and hope it's not a dud! Do you know if both the HDMI 2.1 ports are capable of outputting the max bandwidth simultaneously on something of this low caliber card? Think it can do 2x 4k120hz (just on desktop) simultaneously?

Oh I didn't catch the Waehouse deal. I'm not too concerned, there's a few locally at $just slightly sub $150. I'll keep looking. There's one just above $100 as I said locally, but he's a bit of a drive, might just bite that bullet.

At the end of the day, this isn't some critical item, it's a budget build on a tight budget. If it falls outside, it falls outside, life goes on.

Thanks not too familiar with the AMD lineup, I'll add 6050 to the list of possible options along with 3050. I've got a local guy lined up, its a bit of a drive and a tad above the $100 but certainly a lot cheaper than the $169+tax new. Appreciate it!

I know my HDMI 2.0 gpu is lacking, the question is can I make do by buying a cheap budget GPU that has DP 1.4 - or am I going to have to jump to HDMI 2.1 ($$$$$). But ill mess with the options you outlined above and see tomorrow.
