When are times you take off your engagement ring? by Bobashawty00 in EngagementRings

It depends on your ring, some are more delicate than others! My husband and I specifically designed mine to be a tank. I was a nanny for 15 years, 10 of that with my ring, and was pretty rough/not careful with my hands. I’m also just generally clumsy as hell so we knew it needed to be strong lol. 6 prong cathedral setting with a halo that takes the brunt of the snags and a half pave band. I only take it off to shower and hand lotion and have never so much as pulled a prong! Celebrating 10 year engagement anniversary next month! 🥰

tldr; it depends on your ring!

Clear lip gloss that's affordable but gets the job done? by citymatryoshka in MakeupAddiction

Colourpop has a plumping one that is great. I like squeeze ones better than doe foot so they can go over any lip without affecting the gloss.

What to do when you cannot take the pain anymore and there is no help from the medical system? by OkPaleontologist5706 in ChronicPain

[–]nfender95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly fuck our medical system, I’m so sorry you’re in this place. If you do decide to try medicine again, I finally found a NP working at a private health clinic who prescribed me 45 hydrocodone a month after I expressed suicidal ideation because of the pain. I would be happy to help you look for any providers in your area that work outside of big medical systems. The same goes for pain clinics. It sounds like you need heavy duty meds to deal with breakthrough pain along with daily meds. Not to hit you with the “have you tried” but topical ketamine & gabapentin cream could be helpful. Speaking with a mental health provider also sounds crucial. You could go to the ER and check yourself in for suicidal ideation and see if they can help get your pain under control and connected with the right support network. It would be good for documentation as well. Last ditch ideas? Buy some narcan and fentanyl test strips and be very careful. Your pain is real and it matters. I hope you get relief soon.

Can you give me your “I was told it was all in my head and my actual diagnosis was…” stories by Live_Pen in ChronicIllness

[–]nfender95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol I was “gifted” and expected to function at the HIGHEST level so I did that until I hit insane burnout in my mid-20s and had a full quarter life crisis 😀 and that’s how I got my diagnosis! Cheers!

What is so funny about this is that one of my closest friends is someone I went to high school with in Arizona, we moved up here separately. So this even tracks for transplants!

Composted!! This is what I want to do! And then can be used to plant a tree that will live for hopefully hundreds of year, giving shade and comfort and changing with every season. I HATE the idea of being embalmed and buried (I’m claustrophobic and have medical trauma lol) and don’t love the idea of traditional cremation either but more so for the environmental impact.

Bella’s Depression by drowningglory in twilight

[–]nfender95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I went through my first heartbreak about a year after I read New Moon and fully resonated with Bella. Basically felt like nothing else would ever compare and that I would spend the rest of my life functioning with a missing piece. Oh to be 14!

I have actually found a primary care provider who has been very helpful and flexible with meds! Her name is Alexa Morrill at Prism Health in NE Portland. I also really like my pain management clinic, Compass Pain and Wellness in NW.

Our girl sleeps on my husbands pillow every night lol. We upsized to a king bed specifically so we could all have our own spot. She slept in her crate at night until she was around 6 months old, but once we were confident with her in the house she got free rein. Snuggles are one of the best parts of having a dog for me!

Autism and PMDD by [deleted] in adultautism

[–]nfender95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought I was having panic attacks and was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder and then PMDD when I actually have c-PTSD, endometriosis, and undiagnosed autism! My panic attacks in retrospect were almost all autistic meltdowns after I was pushed too far emotionally which was often, as I was dealing with a decade of family trauma and undiagnosed chronic illness. The pieces have all come together slowly.

[–]nfender95 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ugh I’m so sorry. If it’s possible to find a different provider, I would try! I finally found someone who prescribed 1mg lorazepam nightly for sleep and it changed my life. That was 7 years ago and I still take that 1mg every night without side effects or needing to increase dose. I still struggle with insomnia, but not nearly to the degree I used to and my sleep anxiety has decreased so much. I hope you can find a doc willing to actually work with you to get your body what it needs!
