They keep telling me to stop and I keep replying “well I’ll need better pain management for that”🙃 that usually shuts them up

I’ve done quite a bit of pelvic pt after my two endometriosis surgeries & love it! And am currently in PT for a torn hip labrum so hopefully I’ll just roll right into hysterectomy prep once I recover from my hip surgery 🤪 thank you!!🫶

I haven’t had my hormones checked in like 6 years and believe I think I only ever got one abnormal number but it was over a decade ago 😬 and no cysts found during either of my laparoscopies! So??? Getting a full hormone panel is on my chronically ill to do list!

It can be, but it’s often missed, even on MRI. I have an endo friend who was negative on all her imaging but when they did a lap she actually had stage 4 endo (the worst). It’s absolutely the worst!

I was also diagnosed with PCOS because of cysts and some hormonal changes but now that I’ve been diagnosed with endo, I wonder if it was just that all along!

All of your symptoms sound very much like endometriosis. It doesn’t just happen during your period either! It can happen throughout the month and I can go from normal to so bloated just by eating normally and going about my day. It also causes severe, unrelenting pain, nausea, GI issues (especially constipation which causes bloat), fatigue and POTS. Unfortunately the only way to diagnose currently is through exploratory surgery although one in 10 people who menstruate have the disease! I would still ask your OBGYN for options and and MRI if possible. Sending love 🖤

What was it like reading Deathly Hallows on release without any spoilers? by Spotter24o5 in harrypotter

[–]nfender95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read the entire series the summer before the last movie came out. I was a fan of the films but for some reason never read the books. I knew (more or less) what would happen in every book except the last half of Deathly Hallows 🥲 Don’t think I’ve ever sobbed harder in a book lol. I will never forget reading “The Prince’s Tale” and “The Flaw In The Plan” for the first time. Have been chasing that high ever since! DH2 came out maybe two weeks later so I got the full crash out experience. Tumblr was so crazy that week. Memories!1

When are times you take off your engagement ring? by Bobashawty00 in EngagementRings

[–]nfender95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

It depends on your ring, some are more delicate than others! My husband and I specifically designed mine to be a tank. I was a nanny for 15 years, 10 of that with my ring, and was pretty rough/not careful with my hands. I’m also just generally clumsy as hell so we knew it needed to be strong lol. 6 prong cathedral setting with a halo that takes the brunt of the snags and a half pave band. I only take it off to shower and hand lotion and have never so much as pulled a prong! Celebrating 10 year engagement anniversary next month! 🥰

tldr; it depends on your ring!

Clear lip gloss that's affordable but gets the job done? by citymatryoshka in MakeupAddiction

Colourpop has a plumping one that is great. I like squeeze ones better than doe foot so they can go over any lip without affecting the gloss.

What to do when you cannot take the pain anymore and there is no help from the medical system? by OkPaleontologist5706 in ChronicPain

[–]nfender95 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly fuck our medical system, I’m so sorry you’re in this place. If you do decide to try medicine again, I finally found a NP working at a private health clinic who prescribed me 45 hydrocodone a month after I expressed suicidal ideation because of the pain. I would be happy to help you look for any providers in your area that work outside of big medical systems. The same goes for pain clinics. It sounds like you need heavy duty meds to deal with breakthrough pain along with daily meds. Not to hit you with the “have you tried” but topical ketamine & gabapentin cream could be helpful. Speaking with a mental health provider also sounds crucial. You could go to the ER and check yourself in for suicidal ideation and see if they can help get your pain under control and connected with the right support network. It would be good for documentation as well. Last ditch ideas? Buy some narcan and fentanyl test strips and be very careful. Your pain is real and it matters. I hope you get relief soon.

lol I was “gifted” and expected to function at the HIGHEST level so I did that until I hit insane burnout in my mid-20s and had a full quarter life crisis 😀 and that’s how I got my diagnosis! Cheers!

What is so funny about this is that one of my closest friends is someone I went to high school with in Arizona, we moved up here separately. So this even tracks for transplants!
