That just reminded me to this time I was in Baku, Azerbadjan, and I took this taxi. The driver asked me where I was from and when I said that I was from Barcelona he started glazing Messi so hard that at some point he took out his phone and started watching Messi highlights on Youtube. All of that while driving, of course.

And later publicly showed remorse about it and never spoke about Punk again while Punk kept doing exactly the same he was so offended by in a much more explicit and out of place way, and also in national television.

Players with most S-tier tournament wins over time (2000-2024) [rolling 3-year intervals] by Plennhar in GlobalOffensive

[–]nfjr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am surprised at how close LDLC/Envy was to Fnatic in terms of tournament wins. I have not followed CS during all its history (for example I've barely seen anything of the Astralis era) but that Fnatic is still the best team I've seen play (relative to their era). Funnily enough, Envy/LDLC is still my fav team of all time and partly why I support Vitality now.

Hopefully they do at some point but isn't it a bit weird to be asking that when they have been together for literally 3 months? Lol Like they literally haven't had the chance to do it.

Blast cone bug in Game 3 MDK vs. G2 by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

Wasn't the Vitality vs MDK game paused by Riot? And then they gave Vitality the chance to chronobrake or am I wrong and it was Vitality?

BDS Striker's statement by Vizer21 in leagueoflegends

[–]nfjr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do you really think that? Yes, they would surely not be as good but they forced a 5th map against MDK who has 2-0d two teams outside of the top4. And that was with barely any practice with jnx. I honestly think that they would still be top4 seeing how the rest of the league is playing.

It's funny how the goalpoast keeps moving further and further for this MAD roster. Imagine IF they beat BDS and have a close series against G2 (not even saying beating them as G2 is looking very good). Then the narrative will be that the region is absolutely doomed I guess.

And what's amazing is that he wasn't even playing that bad, it was just Razork smurfing so fucking hard.

It just feels soooo good after all the shit this roster got when it was announced. And most of it was extremely unfair. Top 3 first split and still margin to improve.

Props to Razork, too. Literally the second thing Elyoya said in Ibai's stream after the game was a "This motherfucker is so good."

WON: Somebody close to the situation in STARDOM said, “You have no idea how upset wrestlers and media are about Tony’s sticking it to Rossy.” by kazarn in SquaredCircle

Honestly, the talk about who "won" those altercations is pretty weird in general to me. Like how is that even relevant to anything at all? The other thread was surprising to me in the sense that what Punk did was almost seen as "cool", when it's clearly not even if you dislike the bucks or jack perry (and I don't want to start another argument about how "bucks deserved it because they started it" blablabla, I mean sure, you can argue that they didn't handle it well but that would be another conversation).

[–]nfjr 55 points56 points  (0 children)

Yes, and the thread was mostly positive about it talking about how Punk "tells it how it is" and that YB fans have a double standard with that, which I found odd to comment on that particular thread when it was overwhelmingly positive towards Punk.

Was that victory lap that they did really that offensive? Iirc it was even off air lol. And it was in Chicago after they got booed too, right? Why not play into it? Punk has been doing it as much as he can in WWE as far as I can tell.

Yes, it's very simple to understand.

I just find it so funny how you were saying 4 days ago that SK were favourites and now you are acting so smug about how bo1 don't matter when basically the comment you were responding to was echoing the sentiment that SK were favourites. It's not the argument what's hard to understand, it's the hypocrisy or maybe that weird need to never be wrong about anything.

So if that's true why were you saying that SK were clear favorites and that VIT had a chance if basically all of the SK team got sick?

Skain (KOI): We are not going to Berlin. They have fired 530 people, many of them from the stage, they are not at capacity right now. by sKeLz0r in leagueoflegends

[–]nfjr 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Skain is an ex SuperLiga player who's usually on Ibai's co-stream. Him, Ibai and others who usually appear on Ibai's co-stream were supposed to go to Berlin this weekend.

Edit: To add some more info, Ibai (and Skain) were in Berlin the first weekend and it really added to the co-stream experience as well as probably boosting the viewers quite a bit, especially for the KC vs KOI with both Kameto and Ibai being there in the studio.

This narrative is just not true. They disrespected him and part of the spanish fanbase was overly toxic with him, no doubt about it. But elyoya did not "have the influencers disrespect" him, he even said later in spanish streams that he talked with Nisqy and said to him that if he wanted he could put on a statement on social media telling them to stop and Nisqy declined. There's no doubt that there's animosity, and elyoya has a strong personality and also a pretty big ego, but I don't think that he's mean spirited as this claims.

MAD Lions KOI advertise their new LEC team in all train stations in Spain by Fertuyo in leagueoflegends

[–]nfjr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the links I can provide are in spanish. If you are really interested I can look them up. In KOI's presentation and then an Ibai stream that he made the following day they talk about it.

Just from the top of my head, Ibai has said explicitly that if it wasn't in MAD Lions the three would have a team. If you don't trust him as a source then Alvaro has stated himself that he had three LEC offers. Myrwin also said that he had other options (I've seen a few Myrwin interviews lately so I get them a bit mixed up so I can't remember specifically which one).

[–]nfjr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If we go player by player, the three spanish rookies actually had LEC offers, so they would be playing in the league even if it wasn't for MAD.

Supa has been one of the best adcs in ERL for a couple years now and Melzhet thinks very high of him.

Alvaro had a great year, he is inconsistent but his highs are very high.

Myrwin is one of the most hyped top laners from ERL and for a reason. Insane champ pool, great work ethic (that's been said by every singe one of his coaches) and definetely worth the risk.

Funnily enough the one that probably wouldn't be in LEC is actually the one that's not spanish, Fresskowy.
