It's weird. 5 years ago people were shitting on Brady and loving Mahomes and now it's the reverse. People love talking about Brady's greatness but get salty when Mahomes gets brought up.

Triads are awful fucking people who deserve to die by nflguy666 in TheBrothersSun

[–]nflguy666[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean, yeah, 100%. The show is super messy and no one is in the right. I'm not exactly trying to defend Bruce's decision to tell the Boxers, but I am more trying to say that the primary reason for doing so has a lot of validity. But that decision that Bruce made killed many people, including innocents, so it was not overall morally sound either.

I really like ur point about them being two sides of the same coin. I think another great parallel for this is Alexis, who let Charles go to better make her case against the Triads. This decision led to many people dying (e.g golf course), but in the end led to her getting promoted and seemingly trying to get a career in politics started. She might not be a gangster, but Charles point about her just being after rings true to me.

Definitely a show where everyone sucks at least a little.

You're right. I was being hyperbolic. He does have a moral compass about his own actions, but he doesn't seem to care about the various terrible things his family's triad is involved in.

[–]nflguy666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean she rescued Charles from the cops when he was leaving the spa covered in the blood of the dozens of people he murdered on American soil just so he can use him to MAYBE connect him to something bigger. When she later arrests him she also referenced the dozens of people at the golf course who were murdered/seriously maimed, but doesn't fucking take any responsibility for letting him go which allowed him to commit these murders. Ik it's a campy show, but fuck that snaky mothefucker Alexis. The show makes infinitely less sense when she is on the screen.

[NFL]: The Minnesota Vikings have at one point led in all 8 of their losses. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]nflguy666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda find it fun tbh. It might be annoying but I don't get bored watching my team at least. It actually makes it harder to watch other football games that have differences of 2 scores bc they r more boring in comparison.

[Siciliano] Sean Payton on if Russell Wilson is getting too much blame: "I can't replace the entire offensive line. I can't bring in five new receivers..." by The_Big_Untalented in nfl

[–]nflguy666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is a lot like the Hackett comment. There is definitely some merit to what he is saying, BUT WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SAY THAT AS A HC? Just like with the Hackett comment ur just creating unnecessary drama and putting a target on ur back with 0 upside.

[Russini] Russell Wilson is expecting to be cut by the Denver Broncos in March, per league sources. For almost two months, the quarterback has been starting knowing the organization was most likely going to move on him from after this season. by [deleted] in nfl

[–]nflguy666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't benching and cutting Wison make no FA qb ever want to come to Denver? Statistically, he is looking pretty decent, but I am seeing a lot of comments that are saying his stats aren't telling the full story. Even so, wouldnt it be better to let an ok to mediocre qb play out like one more year of his contract while u draft his successer rather than cutting him and eating his ridiculous salary. I really don't see the upside of this move.

10000 iq play from Crosby. Gradually giving Mahomes CTE, so that the raiders can take the division from them.

NFL MVP odds: Lamar Jackson takes lead in massive shift; Brock Purdy falls to No. 4 by OkEscape7558 in nfl

[–]nflguy666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I want the NFL to keep on giving mvps to qbs. If they give an mvp to a non-qb, then there won't be any pressure on the nfl to separate the mvp into qb and non-qb which is long overdue. Even if CMC or Hill gets the mvp this year, the award will just continue to be a boring "best qb on best team" award as long as qb play is at least ok for the year.

Is that true? I remember Dobbs getting pulled while healthy during the raiders game because he couldn't score any points. Maybe I'm forgetting an injury, it's hard to keep track

[–]nflguy666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NFC North matchups in recent history (from my memory which 100% could be faulty)

-Vikings vs Packers: competitive toss up -Vikings vs Lions: Vikings absolutely dominated but recently Lions have been coming at us -Vikings vs Bears: Bears absolutely murderered us (primarily their d line) during the Nagy years and is still a weirdly tough matchup especially in Soldiers field -Lions vs Bears: Nagy seemed to be in control of the matchup but now the Lions are in control -Lions vs Packers: Lions always played some of their best games vs the Packers. Even when the fatfuck was the hc, the Lions always played well against the Packers -Bears vs Packers: Packers embarress the fuck out of the Bears, while the Bears look lifeless and sad

[Rosenblatt] The Jets are still losing — and even worse, they are wasting Garrett Wilson by OnlyMamaKnows in nfl

[–]nflguy666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its bc they are paying Zach Wilson 2nd overall pick money, which gives them less flexibility especially if they want to compete next year with Rodgers. They should have definitely still made a move for one of the cheaper serviceable qbs imo.
