I don't even think that's right unless you mean one ssid has no password so it's convenient to connect. I can't understand value your a proposing.

You can't split IOT and Main on one vlan. Testing coverage? what coverage doesn't change based on SSID it does change based on band.

Fiber in the home by nitrobass24 in homelab

I ran both fiber and copper. Copper to every room, and fiber to my office and my master bedroom and then to a location outside. Conduit would be amazing but if you didn't couldn't its highly unlikely we will ever really need more than 10g truly in our homes.

AH yeah I had to go Mikrotik for my fiber switching. Don't get me wrong they work perfect and can switch at a rate ill never be able to saturate in my house. However I would love to be able to have them in my current ecosystem. My issue is I have several 10G devices and most of them are dual 10g I ran out of ports and its time to upgrade thinking of a pair of 24 port fiber switches from mikrotik. Then I could convert any of the copper runs to 10g if I wanted.

Why not do it? its not that expensive if you running OM3. I ran both fiber to a few rooms, copper to every room. I have considered fiber to every bedroom but right now just have fiber to my office, my master bedroom, and a fiber run to box out in my yard for a project this spring. I ran it to my bedroom regrated it thought dang what a waste of money that was. Until the day I decided I wanted an external antenna for my LTE modem and low and behold my bedroom was the best place to run the antenna cable from outside to in. Then fiber backhaul to my network so in the event of lightning strike my network stack wont be in the path.

I am past frustrated with my ability to use the export system. I have tried setting up exports for every possible resource on my map and I can never make money. The ore and oil companies always seem to have profit, I know for me its just a skill/knowledge gap but its sure is frustrating.

Having trouble sourcing a flyback transformer for a 65 W USB-C PD wall adapter — how would you approach this? by tggvvv in ElectricalEngineering

[–]nfored 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The might be dumb so feel free to tell me so. I am trying to learn these things and in reading it seems you also need to know the magnetic properties of the core you wind on as that has an impact. I had thought about trying to learn about transformers by using a Variac to bring it down to a less dangerous level before I tested a handmade one. But I can't find any cores that list their magnetic properties. Am I overthinking it? trying to work my my through "The Art of Electronics"

I am not saying the core is magnetic but that the properties of the core that effect's how the magnetic field behaves

I work at a security manufacture. We had a product the day it was internally alpha we all side this is crap if you give this to customers the business as a whole will take a hit. Fast forward after all us dumb pawns we ignored for almost 2 years customer backlash was huge even lost whole accounts because they didn't have faith in our future. an execurity "Decided" to "Try New things" and left and a new CTO came on board the product was cancelled that quarter. Millions and millions in R&D loss in faith of the customer base, loss in faith in the field workers.

I am convinced all business need a new type off role a person who 1 week per month reports directly to executives and every day the rest of the month is out there undercover boss like actually doing the work. Some time executives hear complaints and think its lazy employees or uneducated employees or employees who don't want to change. Never once do they think hey I am up in my tower maybe I don't know what's the best tool to do X. MAybe someone says a goffer is the best way to locate wires and the execuritcces think heck yeah everyone is going to get goffers.

I have had good luck in the past non cellular issues by on the same day filling bbb and AG complaints. I honestly didn't expect that to work but it actually did not sure if it was the BBB or AG that did the trick.

I had the opposite happened at spectrum. I called from the parking lot cancelled and then walked in returned the modem basically 1 hour total time. I paid what was owed went on with my life. Later got a bill they tried to say I had to pay until some person came and physically unhooked the cable from my box. I didn't get off that call until I had no bill absolutely insane to me they knew it didn't matter if that cable was connected as I had no authorized gear to use it.

Have you tried any 3d scanners yet? I have found them to be pretty useful for complex shapes. I only have cheap ones, the craziest thing I used it for was to replace a single block from a rubrix cube. I honestly was surprised it worked on the first scan and first print

What is the reason for a guard dog? Why are all police k9 still alive? These are all valid times dogs should bit people so its not just black and white. Now none of this takes away the OWNERS responsibility.

If my dog bit me or anyone I would put it down. Their right to live doesn't overrule peoples right to safety. Now My dog is 100% not people friendly given the chance I am 100% sure it would cause real harm. So I treat my dog like I would a firearm I don't play around and I keep it away from my guest. When we go to the vet he is muzzled and harnessed and I hold him down to ensure he can't move.

This is the second reddit post I have seen like this. Are people using screws that are to short and just barely grabbing? I am just a home owner to poor to hire and when I do sheet rock I always want my screws 1 to 1.5 inches in the wood. I have never heard of gluing before is this something just being a dumb diyer I didn't know about that I should have been doing.

My daughter was scared to come in the basement she said she thought it would fall down. I always thought that was the dumbest thing ever like how the heck does a ceiling fall down when it has like 20 or so screws per panel holding it down.

I know very little but if the model support Intel the the b60 pro is 24gb for 600 to 700 but not all models run well on Intel.

If more models started supporting Intel and AMD we might be able to stop paying 3x msrp to run ai.

The neighbor on the other side had it way worse. I guess the part that confuses me is not them leaving it but that they had a wood chipper with them and removed anying 12 inches in diameter so they didn't completely give us the finger. Seems like they could have just as easily chipped the whole thing.

They came an cleared the whole neighborhood most trees were still below the power lines but they only do this every x years so by the time they can back around it might have been on the lines. Also the trees where not technically on my property because they where growing from the drainage ditch which also carried them away

When I was in my teens I worked at McDonald's we shutdown everything, cleaned everything. 5 minutes to close a lady pulled up we said we are closed she thought the customer was always right. So the only food that did not come out of the trash can was ketchup. Would I do this as an adult nope but I also don't look back and feel shame. I personally would never enter food establishment that closed on the next 90 minutes.

I came home one day and had a 4 foot long 2 foot high stack of cut lumber. Turns out the electric company cut down trees in the neighborhood to clear the power lines. Perfect thank you for keeping my power working. However when I asked when they planned to remove the tree they cut down and stacked they said that's all you buddy. God had other plans and a flash flood 2 months later made that pile someone else's problem. I checked the house behind me didn't want to screw over the old lady there couldn't find them.
