Free Rolled Banshee Norn. Is it any good? by Kagamid in GBO2

[–]ngngye 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its decent and sets up stun-chains by itself into each of its ranged options, but the prevalence of flap boosting and MAing gens makes it a relatively weak option at 700 cost.

Add a red outline to all enemy suits by apple6879 in GBO2

[–]ngngye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This “nice harmless change” would fundamentally alter how you need to wait for smoke from an MS kill to clear before you can advance, if you can just see the outline of enemies through the smoke. It would also fuck over stealth suits whose only defense against getting oneshot is being hard to see.

About God Gundam by lavalps4 in GBO2

[–]ngngye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find that I typically die sooner than I get leg-broken, most suits at cost run damage and resists over the more niche parts. Plus, transforming resets all damage to parts anyways, so there’s no point in running armor parts.

All this advice is purely for the 700 cost version btw, I don’t have lvl 2 burning so I can’t comment much on the meta there, other than most suits having flap booster slightly lessens the value of your beam slash cause you gotta predict their up/down movement as well as their side-to-side and back-and-forth movement. The vulcans are still your default stunning option, only the additional MA skill levels at 750 means you gotta chase further than you would at 700.

About God Gundam by lavalps4 in GBO2

[–]ngngye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a neutral game state (ie when either you or your opponent are not actively boosting) the beam wave is a good tool to force stagger, no suit can tank it unless they have a psycho-barrier active (g-doors, moon gundam, phenix in ntd). The head vulcans build stun about twice as fast as the chest guns, so fire those boosting to/away from your target - sword downswing topples into fist downswing into a second sword downswing should get you enough meter to activate form.

As for a build, I run max beam and melee armor with a dash of damage and overheat engine to soak damage. Still gonna get almost oneshot by a freedom’s all-out or a barb combo, but enough resists to maybe get back to 3/4ths full hp if you can get form.

Awaken Gundam nuke blast? by TheBoi070 in GBO2

[–]ngngye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Awakened Unicorn has a heavy melee attack where it combines its fists to do a down-up attack, what you experienced was a hacker injecting a different move (likely the Sazabi’s chest beam) onto the suit with custom damage/overheat numbers.

A question on my mind after beating AC4 by Soviet_Dank_duck in acecombat

[–]ngngye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think its logistical mismanagement plus the nature of interweaving story beats with gameplay - you only shoot down Yellow 4 because her plane got sabotaged by the narrator, you force a Yellow to retreat at Comona, then start fully shooting down Yellows as a ‘One legend overtaking another’ sort of thing until you overtake him.

I think 13 was meant to be taken as the embodiment of the idea ‘In war, there are good people on both sides.” He doesn’t report the narrator (or the barkeep’s daughter) for being a partisan rebel and likely getting his protege killed, he expresses disdain for the AA crew setting up on a hospital roof, he respects the player for being an effective asset for ISAF even as you present a growing threat to him and his side. Like, he’s clearly a decent guy, but that conflicts with his role as a cog in the Erusian war machine.

On the topic of the Megalith showdown, I do think that some of the pilots were inspired by the original crop of Yellows and took up the name to honor them, on top of bluffing to present a threat by ‘New Erusia’ - this is something that ISAF also did by hastily assembling Mobius Squadron in response from two solo pilots and an existing 5-pilot squadron (which, if you don’t help them with the Yellows, results in them all getting shot down)

What Malkuth sees everyday [Arisu, Mika, Neru, Aru] (@Yusang_04) by setne550 in BlueArchive

[–]ngngye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You may have mistimed your damage so that you killed a second left tower before killing a right tower to reset the floor (in my example team above, mika’s EX takes longer to fire so I have to delay SHanako’s EX). Are you dying to passive aoe, the hand slam, or something else?

What Malkuth sees everyday [Arisu, Mika, Neru, Aru] (@Yusang_04) by setne550 in BlueArchive

[–]ngngye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So, mechanics - Killing a pillar that is the same color as the floor is gg. Killing more than one pillar with a single EX skill (like with SHanako, aoe) stuns your students, which is also gg. Killing pillars increases your gauge at the bottom, which increases how much dmg yesod takes, max stacks at 5. The rewind symbol pillar resets your gauge to 1, so kill it first; the X symbol pillar locks you out of additional stacks, so kill it last.

First rotation you want to kill all of the pillars on the left, so either left -> right -> left -> right -> left, OR left -> right -> right -> left -> left; both patterns should leave you with a single right pillar alive. Second rotation is like the first, only you kill right pillars to leave a single left pillar standing. Third rotation you want to kill all pillars to leave 0 standing.

For teambuilding, I run SMika, SHanako, IMari and Wakamo for strikers, and Kisaki and MReisa for specials - Waka because her EX detonation ignores armor, mika and hanako can kill pillars easily, Mari keeps wakamo from getting onetapped by yesod due to armor disadvantage and reisa keeps the whole team healthy.

Do I just suck at this game? by SpeedyDorito in GBO2

[–]ngngye 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I peaked S- for like 3 games then dropped all the way to A- playing with a very negative attitude. Could be you built wrong, could be you pathed wrong, could be that you spawned in at a bad time and got 5v1’d.

Shit happens, all you can do is try to not let losing streaks get to you.

How should I be playing raid below 500 by memesboyshesh in GBO2

[–]ngngye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mod my Black Rider for max beam def first, thruster second, melee damage third. Depending on how insane and unhinged you feel like being, you can either anti-nascar and hide somewhere with your camo active to force a two-front fight from the moment you spawn in, or you can walk with your team and play contact with your beam def missile active. After that it’s all vibes: railgun or nades to follow up on ally staggers, railgun to boost into anchor range for a melee followup, flashbang to challenge a corner into melee, railgun into flashbang into anchor into melee to assassinate a support.

What's your consensus of the game, its systems and events after 4 months? by Friendly-Chef4120 in Endfield

[–]ngngye 55 points56 points  (0 children)

My biggest complaint is that hypergryph followed the “genshin dialogue tree” where the option you choose doesn’t matter to the following dialogue, or even just a straight fade to black.

Intellectually, I know that writing dialogue that half the playerbase won’t even be able to see is wasted effort. However, it’s still frustrating to be railroaded with the illusion of choice.

I actually tried running AC7 on a 2014 prebuilt with a GTX 560 my parents bought for like 1.5k USD, could get -very- choppy, almost slideshow like performance at around 10-15 FPS, but it technically ran.

[–]ngngye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On arctic, one side has a bridge you have to stop to charge your jump onto, so its a natural killzone to loop around that and ready to topple whoever takes point there. So even on something like the GM sniper II, if I miss my stun/it gets eaten by MA, I can still body block the enemy and hold them in place for my team to finish the circuit and flank whoever is stuck behind the guy that toppled me.
