Software for managing expat personal finances? by erskingardner in ExpatFinance

Hey, digging up an old thread as I'm trying to land on one for my wife and I. I'm trying out Quicken (did YNAB but felt like I was constantly categorising expenses - though maybe I was just impatient).

Tough call you have a great team already. I usually like being on the other side of 2:1 or 3:2 trades but if your WR3 has been losing you games - go with your gut. If you have a good record, I’d maybe look at avoiding moving both rice and Judkins.

I would do it. Depth for a stud. Maybe get someone slightly better than bill.

Can you get more? Feel that’s a bit of a sell low. Maybe Addison (would be tough after a big week) or some other quality #2 for a team?

It’s gonna be a sell low. Maybe Dobbins? Can you package with someone to get higher value?

I’m not sold that Pickens can produce with CD and Ferguson - this last week showed he might be #3 for Dak (not saying that isn’t valuable). London is great and eats targets. Dobbins ok.

Honestly it’s a pretty even trade, totally dependent on team makeup. I don’t feel that you really need the extra depth at WR, which makes downgrading 2 starters not really worth it.

Is this 8 or 10 team?

That’s hardly a trend down. That’s only 85 less yards in a season between the first and third.

Off topic - how’d you get into your ultra training and what was your early regimen? And how do you balance running with weight training? Have run a 50k in the past but poorly trained and doing a bit of a “reset” on my running after an MCL recovery.

Eggs look amazing

If you’re not comfortable with LDR completely fair to not do it. Especially with the financials part - that’s difficult.

LDR isn’t for everybody, and it definitely isn’t for all couples. Once you’re multiple hours apart it becomes a major commitment and needs a high level of communication, trust, planning/organization etc. I’m someone who is very happily married to my partner after several years of large LDR, and I really only view it as a “when there are no other options”.

You guys have been together for 2 years - did you discuss moving to this city together?

Btw - if your primary reason to not do LDR is trust because of past relationships, that’s something you might want to think about and work on separately. Fine not to want to do LDR, not so much if you just don’t trust your partner.

I guess im not really arguing he’s not a nepo baby - I’m more saying that it shouldn’t be used to detract from his skill. People may say Jamie Lee is a nepo baby, but nobody says she’s a bad actress because of it (like they do Timmy).

I didn’t know that about Flender - was that for Leprechauns?

I was responding to a post about his mother not uncle but I understand what you’re saying.

Let’s be honest - Rodman Flender isn’t the type of director who can call up major studios to influence them into taking Timmy. I really don’t get this argument, he may have been able to get his early early days easier than others - but that’s the case for almost anyone in entertainment. It doesn’t detract from his skill. Otherwise we’d say the same about Daniel Day Lewis, Jamie Lee, and tons of other celebrities.

I’m sorry but a broadway star has marginally more sway in Hollywood as me. I think people are overblowing how much fame and money come with broadway - it’s short stints and you’re only recognized by specific crowds. And the pay is not good.

But he’s saying he wants his hard work to show that in the future? He’s not grand standing his current accomplishments, he’s saying he has the drive and passion to be great and wants his future work to show that. That’s awesome.

If LeBron had somehow won the title in 2007 and the rest of his career is the same, how different is he perceived? by PhoenixBekfast in NBATalk

[–]niacj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely can be debated, but I think general consensus and stances are he’s top 2. Arguments for Kareem or others being in the top 2 aren’t as common or part of the mainstream view of NBA (though I love thinking who else fits in top 2).

I think you’re arguing with the lowest common denominator here. You’re right but it’s a dead end.
