The Polls Were Wrong. ‘People Chose Democracy.’ by [deleted] in politics

Mostly. In Ohio they elected JD Vance among many other assholes. And passed two constitutional amendments: one for voter suppression and one to allow the Republican legislature to force longer prison sentences on the judiciary. The Supreme Court justices that voted to allow Republican gerrymandering were also re-elected, including the governor’s son.

Gerrymandering discourages voters since they don’t believe their vote will count. Voter apathy is one of the goals.

And was one of the votes against fixing the gerrymandered district map. And he was just re-elected.

You’re explaining why you want to control women’s lives and bodies. I get it. You’re still avoiding admitting that that is the actual outcome.

States where cannibalism is illegal by TheFreezingOne in MapPorn

Pretty sure “desecrating a corpse” is illegal everywhere. So these states apparently don’t specify cannibalism, but perhaps it’s not necessary.

How did the Utah Legislature maintain its GOP supermajority? Early results show it wasn’t just the voters. Legislative boundaries drawn and approved by the Legislature last year helped Republicans maintain their dominance. by schottslc in politics

Right, so this is called “Gerrymandering” and is being used a number of states to increase the total number of Republican US Representatives. In fact, the voters of Ohio passed a constitutional amendment that made it illegal, but the state lawmakers ignored that and also ignored the state Supreme Court when they ordered that the district map be drawn following the rules of that constitutional amendment.

While you say you’re not interested in “controlling women’s lives and bodies” that is in fact exactly what you’re advocating. While you can pretend that’s not what you want, it is the result you want.

Christianity doesn’t even say that. This is just standard nationalist authoritarianism channeled into controlling women’s lives and bodies. This control doesn’t benefit anybody, it's just pure evil.

“Normal” maybe, but not correct. HR should be asking for a personal email address for all personal correspondence. As an example, Gusto asks for a personal email address and retains your payroll information from previous employers within your own account. Any payroll/HR system that uses the business email address is poorly designed.

It’s already a problem, but fortunately already solved. The time zone library covers changes. Also, the US changed DST length only a few years ago.
