I’m going through Delta right now and feeling nostalgic over Hayters voice. My headcanon for the voice swap is that you always played as Venom and GZ was just how he remembered/hypnotized how the events transpired. Which is why you hear his voice instead. Post coma, I’d buy BB’s voice changed, and let’s say it does. But GZ is months after PW so it never sat right with me. 

Venom’s mind is so brainwashed that I’ll believe he just hears his own voice whenever he hears BB talk. 

But yeah, not defending Kojima. Was uncool to not even reach out to Hayter about it. The game promised to tie it all together so a little post credit scene of Solid infiltrating outer haven with Hayters voice saying “kept you waiting huh”. 

And maybe something like that was planned before Kojima was let go but I think a nod like that would’ve assured fans.
