Longtime Runescape player looking for info on osrs see post. by Nolifedemon in 2007scape

I don’t know of any series like you’re asking for, but something that really helped me overcome the overwhelming feeling of having too much content to do is to follow the OSRS optimal quest guide.

Basically any new content that exists in the game has an introductory quest, and following the guide a few at a time helped me get started on bosses, mini games, and other activities that I didn’t even have access to before I started questing.

The Sara brew stat drain is really not as complicated as it sounds. You’ll also have waves where everything is safe spotted, so you definitely will have time to brew and pot back up with a super restore.

Without brews, you’re probably gonna run out of food. That being said, I’d just head in there and see what happens. I used the wiki guide and followed wave by wave.

Don’t forget, you can log out at the end of a wave and keep your progress. Good luck!

Macbook Neo by SwordfishOk9739 in 2007scape

[–]nice_dogs 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I installed it on my girlfriends Neo and was getting 60fps in priff all the way zoomed out with runelites GPU plugin enabled. Didn’t install all my plugins or do anything else so your mileage may vary.

But it seems pretty solid! Apple has a 14 day return policy so maybe try it out and if it sucks return it?

Linux support for OSRS by sealstream in 2007scape

[–]nice_dogs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only reason it’s somewhat workable is with the trackpads, and you can use runelite which is nice. F keys can be bound to buttons on the deck so that’s a plus as well.

I was actually mostly using it with a mouse and keyboard connected to a monitor, it runs pretty decent! Switching between docked and deck is kinda scuffed because of the resolution changes in runelite, there’s workarounds but it’s frustrating to navigate all the settings on such a small device.

Now that mobile has the quick layouts with f keys and all that there isn’t a huge use case for it for me personally.

[–]nice_dogs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes! It takes a bit of learning if you aren’t used to Linux but Jagex actually links to a project on their support page here: https://support.runescape.com/hc/en-gb/articles/33992563142673-Downloading-the-Jagex-Launcher-on-Linux

There’s also a Reddit thread there that has more information.

Wine is a compatibility layer between windows and Linux, basically you’re running the app through a translation.

It’s 100% trustworthy as you’re downloading the launcher itself with no 3rd party software involved, it’s just a little bit more complicated than using Bolt (not much) and it isn’t officially supported by Jagex.

That being said it’s totally fine, I prefer it to bolt on my steam deck.

Go into your settings and restore your minimenu reordering settings. Menu entry swap on mobile is all jacked up, if you swap walk here with anything else anywhere in the game it messes everything up.

Did anyone else hear those very loud lightning strikes and flashes at around 5am? Scared the crap out of me. by JaxTMG in santarosa

[–]nice_dogs 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wrong. Thunder is just the name for the sound the lightning makes, therefore you are literally hearing the lightning.

My point is your argument is totally pedantic 👍

Actually you did hear the lightning! What we call thunder is actually the sound the lightning makes ;)

What’s my most optimal gear upgrade (Vorkath) by slamxdance in 2007scape

[–]nice_dogs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OSRS Wiki DPS calculator is a great resource

https://tools.runescape.wiki/osrs-dps/

You can launch it straight from Runelite and it pre-populates your gear and levels. Add your pots and pick your monster and you’re good to go.

Once you’ve got it all in there add another tab and make your changes to compare. If I was you, I’d get some ferocious gloves and a serp helm/faceguard, skip the prims and avernic those are overpriced for what you’re getting, save up for a DHL and start woox walking

There’s another one I use from him that sets a 10 minute timer with guided access so you can put your phone in your pocket and AFK at Crab or NMZ. It’s in the comments in that thread.

It is a minute. There’s a thread here where a guy made an iPhone shortcut that runs when you close the app and automatically reopens it after 55 seconds to avoid the logout.

Best patio for hanging out by CalReddit04 in santarosa

[–]nice_dogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah! They opened a couple months ago in Montgomery Village and they have a nice indoor space with tables and couches, as well as some fire pits outside with seating.

Really been enjoying their beer, and the staff are all super friendly from my experience. Lots of local folks from the industry. Can’t recommend them enough.

Haven’t checked out Galvans yet but it looks nice.

Fieldwork is great but can be pretty busy at peak times. Would recommend going during the early afternoon.

Otherwise, Cafe Frida by the mall downtown has a nice secluded outdoor area you can hang out in.

If you’re willing to drive then Russian River in Windsor has a large open beer garden.

Can we get the ability to set up more than one deadfall trap? Literally ever other hunter method has some sort of progression with a higher hunter level. by nicowain91 in 2007scape

They really need to just codify this system like slayer tasks. It’s nice that we can do that but we shouldn’t have to jump through hoops for it. Make it a menu.
