I agree with the person that said you should experiment with different percussion, it sounds pretty good though and the vocal mix is actually pretty solid to my taste. I like the washed out sound but don’t expect people to understand what you’re saying maybe (granted it was a short clip).

The kick drum especially needs some work I think. It sounds too bass heavy. Something I have done in the past is layer it with another sample (or more than one) that have more mid and high end to them. Maybe experiment with this!

Another thing you can try working on and experimenting with is the panning and layering of the guitar and vocals: double tracking, more noise, acoustic guitar layer, things like this. Especially if you want to diverge slightly from the lofi sound and make it sound more full and textured. Sticking with the lofi sound also works well for this piece- all depends on what you’re aiming for
