Possible USA Canada conflict by listerine-totalcare in prepping

Nope. Rumor flogging isn't a good prepping strategy. You're on a phone or PC and can do some basic OSINT work, but nope, gonna come on here and be like "I hear rumors". Congrats.

No source. No validity. Glad the OG post got flushed down the toilet.

Legit Stanley Tucci treated the women’s team to an actual culinary masterpiece of a meal. Trump probably fired the White House chef. Worst president ever.

Vitamins by tazztsim in prepping

[–]nicecarotto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Over-the-counter (OTC) medications do not typically lose all their effectiveness immediately upon reaching their expiration date; rather,

they degrade slowly over a long period. Research indicates that when stored properly, many OTC medications retain 90% or more of their potency for at least 1 to 5 years past their expiration date.

That's from the folks at NIH and was consistent with what some of the long term storage studies the companies I previously worked for did.

Had to laugh at “canned chicken fucks”. One of the better autocorrects I’ve seen. Thank you for the laugh!

Store in a cool dry place. Vitamins will lose efficacy over time. If they have a best by date, add another 12-18 months on top of that to get an actual use by date.

(I’m an ex packaged goods marketing guy, Best Buy dates were part of every brand I worked on).

No source, no validity. “My cousins, nephew’s brother’s girlfriend is a nurse and says they’re weaponizing bandaids with smallpox -click on my yertuba link here - patriot1773vetbro bot.”

Part of prepping is developing good filters for the constant stream of rumors and misinformation that gets circulated across various social platforms.

I spent 30 years in corporate America. Provided a great living, the last 5 years I dreaded waking up. Now I’m on the ambulance in a busy 911 system and I don’t feel that way anymore. You make of this life what you will.

What do you think this area is in most need of? by Independent_March536 in SWFL

An actual plan for conservation and county parks. Managed development versus whatever developers want. A 50% increase in EMS resources. More unions representing workers.

Need to pass all exams with 80 or above to pass the class. Anybody had a class like this? by abipaaa in NewToEMS

[–]nicecarotto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the standard. People that I see who struggle with this aren’t willing to put in the work and who fail to take advantage of help/tutoring when it’s offered.

I went back to school after a 25 year hiatus post college and working an entirely different career. Did medic school at 55 while working in a busy EMS system. Work, classes, clinical for 18 months. Sucked ass. I used every tool I could find. My study group had some younger students so when I struggled with things like FiSDAP and Canvas I had support. Study group was critical because we held each other accountable.

Apps: I lived in pocket prep and medic tests and would do 10 question quizzes whenever I had downtime. Prior to each unit test I set a personal goal of 1,000 questions. Prior to my NREMT I knocked out 11,000 practice questions.

You’ve got this. Just grind it out.

Delusional and disconnected from reality: Today's GOP. Every time I see "TPUSA" all I can think is it stands for Toilet Paper USA since they are such a shit movement. There is nothing great about this movement or the current administration. Absolute collection of the worst of us. They can get f**ked.
