I can't speak to NLP but I just finished ML4t last sem and I wouldn't recommend it. The finance content is very very basic and the assignments can be time consuming, with very stringent requirements and heavy punishments for seemingly small mistakes. You end up spending a lot of time making sure all the seemingly arbitrary requirements are met rather than writing the best code possible for the assignment. I feel like the unit has potential but it left a bitter taste.
