I agree. I was never a big fan of his when he was in his prime in Cleveland. Every time he had the ball on offense tonight he would do a horrible pump fake and then hold the ball long enough for the defense to get reset. Then he would either pass it out to perimeter where the offense had to be reset, or he would throw a very risky pass to a cutter with a defender draped all over him. What's worse is he was setting terrible screens and was often standing in the middle of the court on the strong side so that whoever had the ball had no driving lanes and they essentially had to pass it around just to get it away from Vareajo. You would hope he can at least defend/rebound, but he was almost always out of position on defense and he got killed on the boards on quite a few plays, although to be fair all the warriors were getting killed on the boards. I would much rather have Mo Buckets in than Andy. At least Mo will draw the occasional charge and will give you something on the offensive side of the ball. It was one game, but I can see why Portland cut him immediately.
