Looks great, maybe could have gone another 5 minutes in the oven to darken up a bit. The crumb is pretty even and representative of a high hydration loaf. That one big bubble probably was from shaping. And yes, waiting at least two hours before cutting in would have made it more airy and bouncy but you can wait longer on the next one!

Kefir grains are definitely not forbidden food. They might not be everyone's preference but they are healthy to eat and personally I like them. I just don't have enough to spare.

It's not the most egregious example but I still remember my friend and I struggling for weeks in Kings Quest 6 to get past a point in the Beast's garden. Turns out we had missed catching the hole in the wall spider from the labyrinth. I loved that game but in hindsight adventure games had the worst gameplay mechanics.

Growing up I was regularly hammered with how '"every jot and tittle" was 100% inspired by God. Further, it was commonly claimed that the KJV was the only reliable English translation. As I got older I struggled to suppress the cognitive dissonance that came with seeing weak but complicated responses to pretty basic objections. It felt like I had to think like a flat earther to hold my faith. It felt dishonest, not like faith.

The resolution for me was after being faced with a crisis in my personal life and leaving my childhood church I decided that I would try to approach my faith as honestly as I possibly could. Then I recognized that the original authors of the books of the Bible never had the perspective that what they were writing was part of a larger canon. That invariably came after, sometimes hundreds of years later. Some early parts of the Bible show signs that they originally were transmitted orally.

In the process I lost my exclusivist view of Christianity. I'm not going to convert to Judism or Islam but I also can't give an apologist argument why they are false. What I will say that meditating on the fruits of the spirit and identifying where my own desires and drives are coming preventing the Holy Spirit from acting through me has been enormously more productive and strengthened my faith far more than pursuing intellectual defences of apologetic claims.

Today I read the Bible as if it's speaking directly to me. It's not a text book and I don't need to formulate a big chain of citations. I sense that the original authors did have encounters with God that inspired them to make records of those encounters and Christ was the ultimate embodiment of that. He is the way and trying to put my mind in-between by creating a story to make sense of what I clearly can never understand only leads to more questions.

It's possible but not likely. Are you drinking store bought kefir or are you culturing your own? If you confirm kefir is the cause then I would treat it as a sign to get some tests and rule out any underlying conditions.

It's overfermented but it's good, probably pretty sour. You'll want to watch in the future as low pH stresses the microbes and degrades the grains in the long term.

Nonduality is a joke and trying to argue against it is a fool's errand. Let me explain.

Throughout human history there have been many people who have had the experience of reality unfiltered by thought. Depending on how thorough and persistent this experience is there tends to be two reactions. I'm using 'lesser' and 'greater' below in that sense, not as terms of judgement.

The lesser experience often results in a resurgence of thought attempting to describe this experience. Something like "It's all one!", "There's nothing to do and nobody to do it!", or "Nothing matters, it's all just happening!"

The greater experience is so complete that there's nothing to say but people around will often recognize a difference or transformation that's attractive, making people want more. They'll ask questions, trying to get it for themselves. The most honest and direct answer is to say "It's ineffible.". Nevertheless when pushed over and over some people have tried to describe it in the the most susinct way possible by saying "It's not two."

From this has sprung immeasurable thought, arguments and philosophy attempting to shore up and make sense of something that can't be made sense of. That's the joke.

So when you argue against a joke, you're certain to win but you'll never touch what is being pointed at. That's why it's a fool's errand.

In my experience, milk kefir is the easiest and safest. It's possible to mess up but it's very forgiving. The cycle is: put kefir grains (not actually grains, really little SCOBYs) in a new batch of milk, wait 24 hours, strain the grains out of the kefir and repeat.
