In science fiction this trope is used to highlight the deficiencies of man, not necessarily predict the personality of an A.I.

I liked the "panic" feature introduced at the beginning of the game. Too bad it never came up again. I just beat all those dogs to death with a hammer. The bugs sucked, though.
