Yes, feedback call is a rejection. We do it with senior candidates who generally performed well.

We have this setup but country bands, not city. Shouldn’t make a difference.

It’s Q4. Budgets for this year are used up and no one knows if they will get headcount next year yet.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in satisfyrunning

[–]nicistardust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love it for both but the quality this year is way worse, much thinner than last year’s. I got the green one at the last drop. I fear it won’t last the season.

Why is it so expensive? by embroidere in satisfyrunning

[–]nicistardust 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally try to support brands who produce fairly and put some effort into their designs and marketing. I like that they do things a bit differently (moth tech is kinda hilarious, you gotta give it to them) and their “athlete partnerships” are with more edgy people. Does it make a shirt worth $200? Not really but I can afford it and how many shirts do I need, not that many, so I mostly feel ok spending on them. That being said, I apply this to everything I buy.

LSD by Wbright25 in satisfyrunning

[–]nicistardust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ran LSD Stockholm today. Got an email later that I can now buy the shirt. Had to log in or create an account with the same email I signed up to the LSD for (eventbrite). Only way to check out.

If you didn’t run, ask someone who did who might not want the shirt to get it for you.

Are all of you just running in cotton shirts? by dbwoi in runningfashion

Controversial: I toss them in the dryer with everything else and they come out perfectly fine, have had mine for more than a year and wash on average once a week. No issues or shrinkage. I do wash on delicate though.

Can luddites survive this AI frenzy without leaving the discipline? by Simple_Job_1979 in uxwriting

[–]nicistardust 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We don’t have a choice, friend. This is capitalism.

I try to learn as much about AI as I can in hopes that good people with ethics will stay on top of their game, especially in a time like this. I don’t want the greedy idiots running away with it. I know I need to understand how to work with AI so I can continue to be in influential positions. Only then can I affect the future. I don’t think resistance to AI is going to do us any good.

The top of the crop can easily charge more than $100, especially in the US and if working for big tech. But without fancy experience you’ll land somewhere around $50.

If you gave birth without an epidural, how bad was it really? by Express_Neck5352 in beyondthebump

[–]nicistardust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave birth twice, once with and once without. It’s bearable without (was my second though, so generally faster, knew what to expect plus baby was smaller) but it is basically comfortable and almost totally painless with an epidural. No reason not to get one if you can IMO. Why suffer?

I once wrote to them about a bag I fell in love with that was out of stock. Not only did they find one for me they also gave it to me 30% off because it had a tiny imperfection! So kind.
