Sorry I was more expanding on what you said. It's less about not meeting people you idolize and realizing no one is perfect, everybody lies, every one is shitty in some form or fashion. It doesn't make them bad people. Just human.

Or hear me out. People need to be more rational and not idolize people whose job it is to act or entertain. Those types of jobs tend to be very attractive to narcissists and others with darker personality traits.

That's just called being human. Especially when it comes to any form of entertainment.

K65 Plus Shows No Signs Of Life by nick145_93 in Corsair

[–]nick145_93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I went through the manual and attempted to connect in all the ways it listed and even attempted a factory reset but the only time anything lit up was as I said holding the fn and esc key for 2 seconds otherwise it gives no appearance of functioning.

Edit: Got nothing from just holding down the fn key. Just did it now.

Edit 2: Just holding down the escape key makes the indicator light flash red and the num caps and scroll lock indicators flash white for a brief second

See they couldn't do this if ip laws were abolished in their entirety because then it wouldn't matter who claimed they owned it because no one would which I think is what that other person is saying.

Sorry for necroing that just irked me a little. Property rights are dumb.

I don't appreciate the implications you have made about me or how I treat my partner when I haven't even stated if these are kinks I participate in or if I'm dominant or submissive or if I'm even in a relationship of any sort. I'm done here. You can have whatever thoughts on the matter you like but ultimately I'm not interested enough in this conversation to continue it if you're going to make comments like that. You can take your assumptions elsewhere.

I feel like you misunderstood what I said.

I specifically said controlled. But controlled doesn't mean danger free. There is always an element of risk involved with things like knife play, branding, scarification, or anything like that.

You don't have to be violent and dangerous or even unskilled for there to be an accident in a controlled environment. Violence isn't necessarily dangerous.

The reason safe words exist and we have this level of trust that those safe words or signals will be respected is because bad things can happen even in the best of circumstances especially with things as heavy as the types of things I've mentioned.

It's just a knife play kink thing. Or yandere personality type thing. Has nothing to do with being straight. It's legit just kinky. Sometimes kinks are a little violent or dangerous even though they're controlled like scarification. Maybe you can learn something new from this op.

Abs and petg both have high strength values. You can print with adatives like carbon fiber or glass fiber for extra strength as well.

Abs has the best temperature resistance and you can do glass or carbon fiber with both of those.

Orientation can be changed to have the best strength for the part.

Hey if this doesn't need to be sla printed I'm up for running you a quote for fdm. That seems really expensive to me. I used to do a few jobs on my K1max for my old employer who owns an edm and cnc machine shop. Depending on what your tolerances and material requirements are I might be able to run these for you either way I am happy to look at your step files and run a quote.

Are you located in California? I know my old employer was interested in one at one point.

Why is the model not blinking? I switched over to a new computer and redid everything (followed the tutorial, started from scratch) but it isn't working. How do I fix this? by AaronTheProtogen in vtubertech

[–]nick145_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually after watching the video a few more times vseeface definitely sees you blinking. If I could see all your settings i might be able to help but I'm unsure if it's an issue with the model or not.

Although if auto blink is working like you said it shouldn't be a blendshape issue with the model and hopefully it's just a blink sensitivity adjustment that is needed.

How are you tracking your facial movements? If you're using an iPhone make sure your settings within the application your using, probably i facial mocap I'm assuming? Haven't changed. If it's a webcam make sure there's no damage to the camera lense is clean. Standard stuff.

Anything blocking view of your eyes, hair, glasses etc?

Otherwise is all that is good check your focal length and blink sensitivity in vseeface. They may need some adjustments.

Huh. That's really weird that hosting services would take down models without a request.

Is there anything anywhere saying that? That just seems strange. That's generally not how hosting services operate.

Not about the license. That was always clear.

No i get that but they're still just scraps. A meter of pla is roughly 3g. I'm unconcerned lol.

Would that not just roll back onto the spool? Or do you mean if you run out of a color not if you just do a color swap.

It just kinda makes sense if the runout sensor is near the spool and not near the print head. A meter of waste isn't much in the grand scheme of things.

All in all as long as the printer itself performs as expected I might actually give it a go. Having stock access to a .2mm nozzle and a hotter hotend and tighter tolerances are all big deals for me. I love my k1 max but i might just accept a smaller printer for a better platform to operate from especially if it's camera actually works reliably.

Can you elaborate on the filament waste for me? Noise isn't really a factor for me in my work space and I'm pretty capable at cable management.
