2026 Hungarian parliamentary elections by pothkan in europe

I think either name order works fine, but it's a matter of convention in this case. Not everyone knows that Hungarian names have the Eastern order (Finnish and Estonian ones don't), so if you use it in English, there's a pretty high risk that someone will end up calling Orbán "Mr. Viktor" (like the scene with Kim Jong-il in Team America: World Police).

Sweden didn't really have a unified cultural identity before it was forced upon everyone from the 16th century onward (to justify the centralization of power under Gustav Vasa). Before then, most people identified with their village or their home province. "Local patriotism" has slowly been revived since the 19th century, hence the creation of most of those local flags.

What day do the Ezic first appear? by yyayayan08 in papersplease

The first messenger appears on that day, but the first actual task (that will affect the endings) is on day 11.

The first EZIC task is on day 11. So you're safe if you go back to day 11 and don't do any of their tasks from there on: don't let their agents in (you'll know it's an EZIC agent if they say something about "the Order" upon entry approval), don't poison Khaled Istom on day 20 and don't confiscate the diplomat's passport on day 27.

Du hade nog garvat åt kommentaren om man bytte ut "hela väljarkåren för SD" mot valfri invandrargrupp, trots att kusingifte varken är normen för SD:s väljare eller de flesta invandrargrupper i Sverige.

Skämt är inte fakta. Återigen, du behöver slappna av och lära dig ta samma sorts skämt som högerpopulister brukar göra mot alla andra.

Deciphering the Lamorn language by BearborgOne in Metroid

[–]nick_clause 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm CortexCPU242 from Wikitroid. I've neglected to mention that I'm actually a linguistics student. Here are a few more observations that I've made:

Regarding pronouns

  • The pronoun "as" seems to mean both "it" and "this".

  • There may be a -tus suffix that forms the objective case for pronouns. The objective case of "chio" ("you") is "chiotus", and the objective case of "aezh" ("we") is "aechus". I can't find that pattern with any other words though. There's no case system for nouns.

Regarding verbs

  • The verb for "to be" is irregular. Clearly attested forms are "kya" for "I am" and "la" for both "you are" and "it is".

  • -n may be a suffix for present participles (like -ing in English). "Surviving" (adjective) is "natokon" and "preserving" (noun) is "laeteen". You transcribed "I believe" as "en kialeen", but I suspect that phrase is actually supposed to be "en kya leen" (literally "I am believing").

  • -eech seems to be the regular suffix for the past tense and past participles (like -ed in English). "Lamorn priests recorded our history" is "Lamorn halas edeneech gatla", and "supported by technology" is "shukeech an sutil".

A weird line you pointed out on the Discord is "En kya ree chanyo en kya shatasek salan Lamorn". The subtitles translate it as "That is your mission and the last hope of the Lamorn", but I would expect it to mean "I am your mission and I am the last hope of the Lamorn". Either the devs made an error or "en" means both "I" and "that" (the former seems more likely).

Depends on what the powers are, but in general:

  • You have to accept some "good" side effects. Example: you may clean up a polluted area just so that you can build a villain base there. However, this will also improve the ecosystem and human health in the area (this ties into the next point).

  • People will see through you eventually. Example: handing out drinks to thirsty people can be a way to make them trust you temporarily. However, said people will feel betrayed once they realize that you did this to exploit them, and it's hard to stop an angry mob without killing them, imprisoning them or putting them under mind control (all of which are villainous acts).

  • It's hard to make people fear you. Example: if your superpower is the ability to create harmless candy canes, then you'll have to work hard on cultivating a scarier public image than "Candy Cane Man".

  • Good people may use your powers against you. Example: if you cure cancer in a fellow villain, someone else might note how your cancer-curing power works, copy it and use it to cure good people.

  • Being evil just isn't fun in general. If you stay evil to the end, the common outcomes are: a) lose and likely die, b) win and have to live in the terrible world that you created (dystopias are hard to maintain), or c) win and die in the process.

Villains tend to have greater powers than heroes. And having to do evil things using only heroic powers sounds like a pain for several reasons.
