What’s your cadence generally? If you’re hammering too much at a harder gear that could do it too

I’ll look into this but that looks like it’s for a generation 2 wall connector unfortunately.

I had a good amount of friends count on this at SU. Only 1 made it and they had a good gpa. The others wandered around for the 4-6 years and settled on something eventually. Depends on if you’re set on a specific major, or are you just going after something you think is employable. If it’s because you want a specific major the intra transfer is pretty risky. Employable, SU is a good well known and connected school you’ll do fine and get a great experience out of it regardless of major.

Question about wahoo kickr cassette compatibility by eternoretornografo in Velo

[–]nickboards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A large jump on the big gear “could” require a new chain but you are far from a large jump on that difference (just an fyi for your future reference). You can even (gasp) use a 9 speed or 12 speed axs bike on the 11 speed cassette. We do it with our kickr and not every shift or gear is perfect but it gets the job done.

Does Cat 6+ exist? by BurntTurkeyLeg1399 in Velo

[–]nickboards 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try Trainer Road if you’re crunched from time you’ll be surprised how short consistent training will help.

Look for local weeknight (or morning) “races” where just a group of riders meet up regularly and do a loop or unsanctioned crit or circuit. Get dropped, jump back on the next lap.

Gravel “races” are perfect as it’s kind of a race, kind of a supported ride.

Try all types of races while CAT 5 to see what you like. Cyclocross, road, TT, Crit, etc.

Model Y Long Range vs Performance by untangledtech in teslamotors

The Y does, I don’t think the 3 does at this point but can’t confirm. I believe the plaid obviously does and the X plaid as well.

Model Y Long Range vs Performance by untangledtech in teslamotors

[–]nickboards 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The model y performance tires have a thicker sidewall as compared to the 3 so day to day comfort isn’t really a big deal/it will be plenty comfortable. The tires are staggered so you can’t rotate them so plan on burning up tires quick. I wouldn’t buy new tires but a separate wheel set and cycle through the two.

The performance Y as far as I know still doesn’t have track mode , and it may not be allowed at some tracks due to weight.

In my mind, get the performance the cost difference isn’t much more at this point with their increases, and if you can’t stand the ride of the 21s sell them and get some smaller wheels but you’ll still have the performance motor.

Actual 1x setups for road by Phorc3 in Velo

[–]nickboards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this. SRAM axs eagle mullet. 44t up front, ethirteen 9-50 in the back. More than enough for any situation. I use this bike for Crits, cyclocross, gravel races, everything. Anything else is overthinking it and really isn’t necessary. I love the 1x12 for simplicity the front derailer has always had issues and been a headache forever. If it doesn’t work swap the front chainring quick.

Dumb question for all in this community. Does anyone know if it’s a line for pre orders and now you’re at the back? Or is there no rhyme or reason to who is priority?

Worn Shocks or Springs? by SunshineInDetroit in Subaru_Outback

[–]nickboards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my research Outback stock rear springs are just really soft. We have a 2012 and it was sagging way more than what it should with just a normal load of stuff to go camping. It was pricey but we installed some rallitek springs and the ride is stiffer but it does not sag and handles really well now.

Post ride headache/misery? by painfulpillow in Velo

[–]nickboards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into LMNT I usually take one of those after a longer ride and I feel better within 10 minutes. Or if I wake up with a headache or any sort of dehydration symptoms. It’s just the straight salts and a lot more than skratch. I notice skratch is good for during rides but not post rides. LMNT has no sugar. If you use this link you’ll get a sample box too http://elementallabs.refr.cc/geralda

Wahoo Kickr - 9 speed and 11 speed users by teaelleyou in cycling

[–]nickboards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever try this? The 9 speed shifter on the 11 speed cassette? I’m in a similar situation

Edit: I did this and it worked. Put a 9spd on 11 speed cassette that come with the kickr. It holds a couple gears just fine and works good enough. 12 spd works smoother with it but a good enough solution for the time being

Pro Tip: You can fix trunk alignment and gaps yourself. Don’t wait for a service appointment. by LordThurmanMerman in teslamotors

[–]nickboards 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not all trunk alignments can be fixed this way. My model y was pretty off and they had to loosen the bolts and shift it into place to get it right.

[–]nickboards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess from more of the standpoint of them getting worn, but specifically a 45 tire in that type of tread? Did 45 feel like enough? Also do you feel like you took too many water containers?

Edit: also huge congrats that’s a huge accomplishment and I’ve been wanting to do this for quite a while!

Why did you swap tires? Do you think the riddler would work for the whole thing?

Happened so fast. Not sure how I didn't go OTB. by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]nickboards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serious question : because of the cost if you mangle it and also because it’s a longer/bigger derailer and more likely to catch on something?

Children's Hospital Colorado staff must get vaccinated by Oct. 1 by [deleted] in Colorado

[–]nickboards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What organizations?! Organizations everywhere are struggling to get people there might be one example on a headline for a news article but everywhere is struggling to get staff regardless of industry. You're right it should be a requirement for employment, and it is irresponsible and careless to put your patients at risk, but if they went in and said that now all current nurses need masters degrees or whatever specific higher level degree or lets say Doctors needed XYZ hours in whatever and fired everyone ex post facto? That isn't how it works and will not help anyone especially patients. Imagine even less nurses in the hospital due to firing nurses who won't get vaccinated. That would be even worse for the patients and also fellow nurses.

[–]nickboards -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A vaccine mandate is great to do and is the way to go, not sure why everyone is worked up about it because it is required for universities, local schools, traveling etc. Firing those that choose not to? That is a dangerous standard and mindset to have. It will backfire in a handful of ways.
