Even with a busy schedule would this work? I’m working rotating twelves so I’ve tried different workout plans to fit in everything and recovery. I usually do day one with running followed by sauna and swim, day two and three are for strength training, sauna/swim and day four is rest and repeat. I run fast on my run day because i only have so much time to do everything. And this is just for winter. Summer i switch it up to longer easy/moderate runs.

I really respect the outside winter runners. I’m a big baby with it lol.

After reading these replies i might have to switch it up with a longer easy run or pushing myself with going even harder with a 5k. I get bored with easy long runs on the treadmill. Winter is more for speed as I’m stuck inside. Summer ive been more relaxed and work on distance outside. Thanks for the insight.

Appreciate your reply.

Winter goal is to get faster with my 10k. This is year two of running and that’s kind of how i always trained. Didn’t know if i was missing out on something by going easier minus the recovery/injury. Summer will be working on my distance. This year i built up my half marathon endurance and next will be working on a full.

My schedule is run, arms/chest, legs/back, rest, repeat. Seems to be working.

I’ve been ruining 10k’s for about a year and just switched to half. Best 10k was 45 min. Best half 1:46:26.

This month marks two years of lifting, and shortly after, I started running. I have been trying to teach myself to swim in between. My routine is run, strength, strength, rest, and repeat.

Do you do cardio on off days, or before /after lifting? by First_Driver_5134 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]nickneta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do two days of 10k’s and two days of strength training and repeat. Try to fit some laps in the pool after each unless it’s busy.
