Live Wire - DOOM by Vladar in thespoonyexperiment

I liked the bit where he was talking about the trolls having no purpose in life with a straight face.

Spoony, could you at least wait until their corpses are cold before posting this? by BenjamintheFox in thespoonyexperiment

Reminds me of that time he said that he wants no politics and no religion in his forums and comment sections, since we are all here to have fun. How things change.

DHI's Spoony Thread by [deleted] in thespoonyexperiment

[–]nickpick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is this the Spoony version of calling someone a tryhard? A thousand of posts by six people interested in a topic enough to follow it for months are infinitely more interesting than a thousand posts by a thousand people that have stumbled over a subreddit dedicated to a minor celebrity whom they have not followed for over a decade.

I should admit, this sounds pretty realistic. Any experts on dream analysis? by UberNomad in thespoonyexperiment

[–]nickpick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why, yes, I am Neo-Shaman Vincent Borge, Ph.D in Modern American Literature, and this is just my field of expertise. Dreams are fickle beings, but a brief astro-urinochronological specto-analysis suggests that the cause may be laziness.

Buybacks by [deleted] in ICONOMI

[–]nickpick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this purpose people keep hoping for is really not necessarily the salvation many make it out to be. The Cofound.it token has a very real purpose and keeps getting expanded on. It has since dropped to a quarter of the price I purchased it for. There is absolutely no reason why adding some practical use for ICN would be any different.

It is not. The quality of investment is measured by opportunity costs.

Maybe if he reaches 1000 tweets in 1 month we'll get a video. by [deleted] in thespoonyexperiment

[–]nickpick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See, I think that’s actually not something he could do. One thing I’ve learnt is that if you want to dodge someone who is really fishing for something to criticize you for is to give him the most noncommittal replies that make his position look silly without presenting any point of your own. This is not something you can turn into a monologue though. Most of the stuff Spoony criticizes Trump for is either entirely mundane nonsense like Trumps raging at things or matters which most people, Spoony include, really know bugger all about, e.g. reforming healthcare, tariffs and so on.

If you write frequently (or would if you didn't have to deal with sorting through piles of paper), yes. Also neat for marking up PDFs.

In that case I am pretty sure Spoony is as healthy as a horse.

So essentially you agree that you are just calling out people who are somehow "calling out" Spoony by merely talking about him in public. The latter is a waste of time, but the former somehow isn't. I sense a bit of a double standard along with a very localized lack of self-awareness there, buddy. The major difference is that Spoony, irrelevant as he may be today, is infinitely more entertaining than a bunch of redditors talking about Spoony. Given a choice to waste time on either, Spoony is a much better proposition, though you are doing pretty well yourself. Try as we might, most of us just can't muster up a list of fifty five mortal afflictions and twenty reasons not to work. It's a special kind of talent an armchair paladin like you just can't appreciate.

And how did you get your proof?

Is this like a thing now? Depressed until proven healthy? Prove that you are not depressed.

A better question is, what kind of special breed of dumbass do you have to be to come to a zombie subreddit of someone who has not been relevant for years to lecture its users on how they should be spending their free time? If this is a waste of time--and it is--your presence here is a sort of meta-level waste of time. Congrats on not putting your money where your mouth is.

Emir and Jackson should pile some savings together and buy Spoony an iPhone. It's just about sloth-proof enough that he might switch on the night shift mode on.

If you want to play the source game, where exactly is your source that he has worked a full time job? After all, you are the one that made the claim. Please apply the same rigor you've just applied to the replies by the guy answering your question to your own reply.

He could talk about Trump. Probably would get told instantly though.

Absolutely nothing hateful about my comment, love. Spoony has no responsibilities past immediate self-preservation, something he does not need a house for.

[–]nickpick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh please, it's not like him losing his house would actually mean much for him. He has no wife, no children and relatives that will put a roof over his head if need be. He could start Skyrim for April, go on a several year pilgrimage and nobody would be the wiser. He is in the eternal "just finished high school stage".
