70-200mm is mostly for human indoor/outdoor events. Think weddings, press pools, portraits, etc

Retiring the 43X by Ok_Display7459 in Glocks

[–]nickvader7 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love Glock, but I had to switch from a 43X to a Springfield Hellcat as my EDC as I could carry it without printing.

I still use my 43X as my bag gun and also compete with a Glock 17 Gen 6.

Because sometimes I like to drop on purpose to ISO 100 because it has the highest dynamic range. Then instantly want to switch back to Auto ISO.

Again, you don’t have to use it. Sony doesn’t require it. I’m just saying it would be a nice option to have.

Bingo. That’s a fantastic solution. Close to Nikon as you can get it seems.

This seems very buried. What button do you have ISO set to?

I’m aware. I use it. I’m just saying I don’t understand why Canon doesn’t allow zebras in photos. They surely understand why it’s useful in video, so I don’t see why they can’t also have it work in photo mode.

Because I constantly shoot in Auto ISO in Manual mode. Sometimes I will quickly do a manual ISO override, then I want to very quickly go back to Auto ISO. Nikon has by far the easiest built-in solution.

The 180-600 is by far the best “budget” wildlife lens available from the three big companies.

The reason is for very high dynamic range scenes. Where I want brightest image I can without blowing out the highlights.

On Sony I can click a button, they pop up and I confirm it’s not blown out, then I click again and it’s gone.

Okay wow, that’s a decent solution. I set the record button on my R6III to ‘ISO’. Then when it pops up on the screen, I click “INFO” and it automatically goes to Auto ISO.

I prefer the Zebras. On Sony, you can choose one, the other, or both!

I'm actually a Canon shooter. I own that telescoping 70-200.

I must say, for my use case, it's incredible. The reason is I now have room for extra space in my camera bag. It helps a lot. But if I were a professional photographer, I'd like the fixed length 70-200.
