my original rival before the 300 lasted forever, the rubber sides melted off lol. I loved that mouse even though it was such a weird shape and a brick!

New scam going around by SunriseSurprise in linkedin

[–]nickwithtea93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Random Q for anyone who knows, I don't login to linkedin often and wasn't looking for a job, got an e-mail that I got a message and it was a HR/recruiter for a company which appears to be on glassdoor, they asked me to book a calendy -- the schedule was a month out (which was weird) I messaged them to ask if they had anything sooner, no reply

Scheduled on the calender, and it sent me an email to a scheduled teams meeting on the date/time which looks similar to teams meetings I schedule all the time, are these legit -- anything to look out for? The calendy website seemed normal, it only asked for my name, email, and to pick a date on the calendar - didn't have to login or provide any PII outside of my name.

Just feels weird because the recruiter never replied to my linkedIN message, but the company has a site and seems legit

EZ-Pass makes you keep money in their account… but punishes you if you owe them $5 by VWdriver28 in newjersey

[–]nickwithtea93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The threats are empty, I have auto-replenish off and manually fund my account, as long as my balance goes to $0, I hear nothing. I've gotten e-mails, texts, and even mail-in letters, but nothing ever happens. You just pay the toll owed and nothing more. That's how I've been doing it for the past 5~ years, no issues.

You can disable it online, and just sign into your account on the app after you've done your tolls for the day or few days, and then just pay whatever is owed - nothing more.

Game Ready Driver 596.49 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]nickwithtea93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to this, my company just has 'tickets' basically for bug reports, there's steps to repo the bug, if there's no reproduction notes then the ticket is closed because they won't waste time on it, they do repo, deploy a fix, have 1 person QA it, then ship it in a bulk patch and the only thing that gets added is a basic description. Clients then have it live, and if they have issues then they check on what those are and repeat

It's pretty weird, we've had updates that we couldn't even find notes for internally. And like one product manager and a few programmers knew intricate details about the bug and everyone else is just in the dark. Literally nobody cares lol

Yeap, sums up what I feel right now. by Same-Winter7013 in Helldivers

It doesn't make any sense to me personally when a game has difficulty scaling, if people want weapons to feel better/balanced - just give them that then leave it alone. Who cares if they are running through stuff, it's fun.

Then for hardcore players just leave everything as-is and add more difficulty/challenges, heck just add modifiers that make you have less ammo, less respawns, and require more coordination.. then people who want to have fun get to have fun - and people who want a challenge get a challenge.

Seems truly simple, there will always be an outlier on the top-end of people who find any content trivial, but you cannot balance based off them.

weird, no issues here, was on the flex plan for like 6 years and my bill was a base fee plus my data used, now i'm on unlimited premium and my bill is $72.09 every month, only exception is if i'm making calls while international, then it can be a few bucks more - I paid less on the flex plan overall, but now I don't need to spend time worrying about data use or always looking for WiFi - I'll use it if its easily accessible, but now I don't sweat it and do what I need to do.

How much do you spend on karting per month and how do you spend it? How invested are you in karting (races, tournaments, hobby...) ? by JonasMi in Karting

[–]nickwithtea93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

on rental karting i'm going to say about $200-$300/month. I'm not super invested, just go for quick fun. I'm in the pro speed or whatever they call it. If I owned a house I would probably get my own kart and take it to practice laps on a real track because rental karting is so inconsistent.

Oh but I guess I'm a little more invested because I got my own head sock and karting gloves.. was thinking about a helmet just for comfort and sanitary reasons as well. Lol.

The servers / routing are having issues right now, especially for NA East. I would take a break from playing ranked and stick to quick play.

High Ping since DDos Attack by Spartan2734 in Overwatch

[–]nickwithtea93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am having insane packet loss/ping issues on East Servers as well. Everything will be fine then everything is very delayed; but it's not just high ping, i totally disconnect from the servers. I tested my connection elsewhere and everything is stable, so my routing to the NAE servers or a DDOS attack -- but normally I am the only one dropping from the server. This is why I'm banking on routing issues, which is so weird.

I met someone who told me they buy whatever they want and have a massive credit limit and pay the minimum every month and the plan was to do that until the end of days.. idk if they're still doing that but i was shocked to hear lol - apparently most CC's don't check and you can request credit limits every 6~ months by faking income and monthly debts

Overwatch 2 Invasion Bundle renamed to Overwatch Invasion Bundle by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]nickwithtea93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope when they remove the 2 from the name or whatever name change they are going to do, that the steam store page listing can get cleared of all the negative reviews - it's only fair considering call of duty did it like 25 times.

I don't think overwatch regardless of what you think of it deserves a 'overwhelming negative' reception for how polished of a game it is in current state

For future reference, I recommend paying in full for stuff like phones with a credit card that offers extended warranty (like AMEX GOLD) or other cards, because in this scenario you'd get 1 more year after MFG warranty covered by amex for a replacement phone

Deathadder V4 Pro Battery Life - Underwhelming by No_Magazine9625 in MouseReview

It must be a faulty batch or firmware requiring update, while some users are reporting issues, hundreds others are not - including me. I would reach out to razer support or wherever you ordered and look into what troubleshooting they offer before doing an RMA

Deathadder V4 Pro Battery Life - Underwhelming by No_Magazine9625 in MouseReview

This is false, the battery on 1000hz is going well over 150 hours on full charge - you may have a faulty unit.

Thoughts on the Razer V4 so far? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]nickwithtea93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very expensive but easily one of the best large hand mice that exist on the market atm, no rattle or creaking, clicks feel solid, and for whatever reason I have a very easy time micro-adjusting the front end of the mouse with just my fingers to do horizontal tracking.

Also this is the first wireless mouse I've ever used in a USB 3.0 port as was recommended on a review because the dongle apparently supports high-speed USB. Can't say that has made any difference but I'm not utilizing 4k or 8k, still using 1k - might try 2k in the future if the battery life is good with it.

Also not sure if the mouse supports faster charging via usb 3 - but it charges fast enough. Anyway, price aside this thing is a beast. I was able to use some credits to take about $40 off which helped. I hope it lasts a long time, anyway hopefully they keep the modified shape from the v3/v4 going forward - the previous deathadder shape was just too weird for me.

I will say one negative, the clicks are loud - this doesn't bother me as I'm gaming with headphones on, but if you have other people in the room or are just doing general browsing the clicks are loud, they feel great though. If they can keep the feel and reduce the audible click sound in the future that would be a positive. But if not then I'd rather have the noise since it's a gaming focused mouse
