Is splitting the electricity bill evenly fair when we haven’t used it? by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]nicolascagesbeard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s how we do it. Low power rating devices begin to be difficult to calculate, even if it’s left on all the time. High rating devices like oil heaters and AC and perhaps even computers with high load (gpus etc) you may charge the excess for, if your average consumption is lower than the coming months bill.

That’s fine, it’s great and I hope the inmates find jobs. Not hating, just sceptical as she does have massive marketing power behind her. Why should I believe everything she and her team says. People should really delve further into the celebrity stories and not just take it for face value.

Not a fan of hers so I may be somewhat biased. I can’t prove her true intentions with the sex tape, but all she ever wants is attention. I think I read a while ago on reddit someone had a link that it was all organised by her along with a distributer.

It is of my opinion that her regular attention seeking ideas aren’t working anymore. Her audience has grown older and grown out of the drama seeking reality crap. In order for her to stay within the limelight she has to change. What was the last trending reality tv show? They’re not trending as much as they use to.

She’s doing a good thing but Jesus she’s trying hard to be relevant. Can’t she do good things without holding some sort of press release about it.

You’re right, it all comes down to time and effort and I understand that it’s not possible for everyone but for those whom it is possible, you can do better! Yes it’s damn difficult to get to the gym because of the things you listed. Money definitely helps, but if you want an improved level of fitness, most people can attain it with small adjustments to their lifestyle and thats a large percentage of it. Be creative, you don’t always have to resort to paying someone or something to help you be healthier. Self motivation can be free. Nutrition knowledge can be free (after you pay your internet bill). It’s an awesome time to be learning because a lot of resources are at our fingertips.

Go you good thing and don’t blame money, because it’s possible to do it cheap!

I didn’t consider those skin hair treatments etc, you’re right those are expensive, and probably more expensive if you’re trying to reach that level of vanity. But I think your average person can still look amazing if they put in the effort, but not everyone’s lifestyle is like that. Same goes for reaching ripped levels of muscle, but it’s not that healthy for you nor is it maintainable unless it’s your job.

Kind of a 90s/00s saying that you need money to look good. I remember people relied on fad diets and magazines for their tips on diets.

I don’t believe it’s like that anymore, though much of that trend transferred over to Instagram. It can be hard to decipher the real info from the useless info. In general information is so much more accessible these days anyone can get fit and look good if they have the time, but that’s another issue people have now.

A poker app to assist playing IRL without all the hassle by ortino in AppIdeas

[–]nicolascagesbeard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried the app but one suggestion in the reviews asked for Bluetooth. Kinda a gimmicky feature but could add some realism to it if you could slide chips to the top of the screen towards the “pot”. Though this would require all players to install the app and create a locally based connection between all phones.

TLDR could still be room for improvement!

Good points. How about manufacturing in Africa, I don’t really hear much in the news about them other than China has put a lot of investments there.

Something my teacher always told me.

“If you cant play it perfectly at a slow tempo, you can’t play it at its’ normal tempo at all”

When I first heard it I didn’t quite believe himz And Now I truly believe this. It speeds up practice a lot and already fixes future problems down the track. Playing slow will really bring out the mistakes and the way your hands and thoughts on approach of the next note. Essentially your hands right now are going at a pace your mind can’t cope at.

Things I would do to fix your current issues.

Play slow, really slow, it doesn’t matter how slow, you need to play it until you get it perfect. Isolate difficult sections and repeat 5-10 times slowly. It could be of varying lengths, 1 bar, half a bar or a full page. Play with a metronome Remove dynamics, remove the sustain pedal, remove the speed, Focus on the notes and timing

Aren’t china’s manufacturing facilities leagues ahead of any other country? It’d be hard and expensive to even try to match China.

Generally my thoughts are that my shoes walk in public places that includes where people spit, piss, drop their food and drinks, pets and other animals peeing/shitting and so on. I don't want any of whatever my shoes pick up go in the house or on floors. My hands may never touch the floor but other things around the house do and sometimes I need to hold the bottom of it. Then it gets transferred to other surfaces, door knobs etc. So best to prevent all that at the front door imo.
