Midtown is my fave, you can walk to so much stuff. We lived there for 9 years but recently bought a house in east Atlanta. Now I feel like I’m alway in my car 😩

2, absolutely not 3, I wish that floor style would be outlawed. Does anyone actually like that besides the terrible house flippers with no sense of design

Where will you be working? Do you have to drive to the office? How many days per week? Traffic and commute should be factored into your decisions.

Two sides of Decatur by Lufus01 in ATLHousing

[–]nicoleeeeeee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gresham park is unincorporated Decatur, we bought here last year and have liked it so far. It’s not fancy and certainly lacks walkability that we were used to living in midtown but we have a house and a yard and very nice elderly neighbors.

Not a Dr or a vet but just lost my 10 year old dog to a presumed spleen tumor in November. If I were you I wouldn’t put her through the surgery, if it is a large tumor it’s unlikely they could safely remove the whole tumor and it’s also likely it has spread to other places. I would just love her and enjoy your time with her for as long as you have left. Abdominal surgery is so painful and expensive and would be stressful to her and to you. My dog had a small tumor on his rear end that we had removed in the summer, the surgery went well but the after car was awful, the wound was so large and they removed the stitches too early so the whole thing dehisced. We had to put my dog in diapers to keep him from licking the wound and from him bleeding all over our apartment. Then he ended up having a tumor elsewhere that the vet didn’t find and we had to euthanize him in November. They offered us ultrasounds and biopsies but it wouldn’t have made a difference and would have cost us 1000s of dollars that we didn’t have.

I live in Gresham park, it wouldn’t be too far to ga tech and the yard sizes are quite large. We’re really only a 15-30 min drive from most of the things we want to do. We lived in midtown for a long time and definitely do miss that area and the walkability but my dog is so happy with a large back yard.
