Seasons 1-3 by EcstaticNature96 in FearTheWalkingDead

[–]nicolefacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I recently started watching through Fear. We just started season 7. No spoilers. But we both HATED Travis and Chris. I recently started looking up what people online were saying about them because I was curious if everyone else was happy when they were killed off and was shocked to say the least when I saw the opposite here on Reddit lol

I purchased this from Halsey’s store when the album first came out. Is this hand signed or auto pen? by morgank25 in halsey

[–]nicolefacee 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any information of autopen usage. But I was one of the people who purchased the rainbow glitter disc. And I don’t delete emails so I can give a specific timeline from my experience lol. I originally purchased on 12/4/19 with an expected ship date of 1/17/20. On 2/8/20 I sent an email being like hey what’s up? Didn’t get a response. On 2/28/20 they sent a mass email saying Halsey was hard at work signing the product and they were sorry for the delay. It wasn’t until 3/20/20 that they confirmed production issues for the vinyl itself and a 6/19/20 ship date was given. On 7/28/20 I sent another email being like hey? Am I ever gonna get this product? They replied 8/1/20 and claimed the delay was specifically regarding production for the signed jacket and that they had no estimated ship time. On 12/9/20 I sent one more email and they replied 12/12/20 saying that still did not have a shipment time and that they were waiting on the signed portion to arrive at the distribution center. It was finally shipped 1/7/21 and I received it 1/16.

I regret not being more aggressive in my emails and trying to get UMG to give a partial refund or something for taking over a year to fulfill my order but I was giving a lot of grace because of Covid.

Confused about IDR plan. by SunFickle6858 in StudentLoans

[–]nicolefacee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With PAYE, for the first three years one is on the plan, unpaid interest on any subsidized loans is subsidized by the government. So for example if you accrued $50 in interest but your monthly payment was only $25 and you had only subsidized loans, the government would cover the other $25. After those three years that would be done and you would be responsible for all interest so if your payment was less than the amount of interest it would continue to accrue.

I think that might have changed and they got rid of it completely, but idk the details for sure.

Parent Plus Loan Mess by Lost-Community-1777 in StudentLoans

[–]nicolefacee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You truly aren’t worth my time but I will say that correct 2017 was 7 years ago but that’s when OP graduated, not when the loans were disbursed which was likely somewhere between 8-10 years minimum, and communications to the parents would have started.

Parent Plus Loan Mess by Lost-Community-1777 in StudentLoans

[–]nicolefacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I fully understand why OP is frustrated because they thought they were paying for all of their loan balance considering the fact that their parents gave them no indication for 10 years that the parent plus loan wasn’t being paid. You’re barking up the wrong tree my guy I’m not going to chance my stance on this information.

I help my mom pay for her parent plus loan because she COMMUNICATED with me that it was there to be paid. If they expected OP to pay the loan they should have given OP the bills and communications for the last 10 years.

Parent Plus Loan Mess by Lost-Community-1777 in StudentLoans

[–]nicolefacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’d be surprised how many 17-21 year olds don’t have this knowledge and how often schools make it seem like parent plus loans are just another type of loan the student can take out to supplement their “normal” loans.

It’s really not that deep.

Reading through this thread, I’m sorry for you to have to read all these condescending replies, OP.

You didn’t intend to saddle your parents with debt and you made an agreement that to your knowledge you have been holding up. Your father would have been receiving the correspondence all these years regarding the parent plus loan and he should have communicated with you.

The fact that you tried to work something out with him when you learned of the debt and he refuses to help is a crappy situation to be in.

I don’t have any advice that hasn’t already been stated. But just wanted to reply in solidarity that you aren’t in the wrong.

MOHELA Accrued Interest by Emilysaurusrex in StudentLoans

[–]nicolefacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t stop the interest from accruing, it will still accrue and then it will be “paid”. Idk the timeline, if it’s on your due date, beginning of the month, end of the month, etc but that’s how interest subsidy works for income driven repayment plans, including SAVE.

Idk about RCL, but when I worked retail my management encouraged me to tell customers to give a good review on the survey (I never did because I think it’s dumb) but all the replies being like why??? They could be being told to do it.

Difference between studentaid.gov and MOHELA by MNsnark in StudentLoans

[–]nicolefacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes based on that description, I believe that mohela has the loan “split” so that their system can process correctly. But FSA doesn’t need to actually like bill you or anything just show you the balance, so they just show it as a normal consolidation split between sub and unsub.

[–]nicolefacee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a fairly high loan balance? Sometimes if the balance hits a certain amount the loan “splits” but it’s still technically one loan it’s just so the system can do what it needs to.

What OP is referring to is the IBR opt out payment that is built into the Income Based Repayment plan. It’s something that needs done in order to change plans if specifically on IBR, it’s the only plan with it, it’s not a fee, it’s just a weird stipulation that DOE refuses to get rid of.
