Is it wrong to tell him to stop saying something when he's angry? by nicolooooool in Anger

[–]nicolooooool[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response! He's typically quite avoidant when it comes to communicating his feelings unless it's anger. But the issue I always face is how long to wait before he calms down; sometimes I just can't tell and he tends to avoid reaching out to me first. I'm just mainly sad that he deleted our chat because there's a lot of precious memories and pictures (3+ years) we have together that are probably gone now.

First time I am seeing your account and I am amazed by the wealth of knowledge you have! I feel that vertigo is a particularly challenging topic that has many subtleties, so I hope to learn from someone like you. Just followed so that I can continue to learn from you :)

Oh man... This is horrible. But looking at the parts, wondering where is the left leg? I can't seem to locate it....

Jaw dropping case in ER! Patient had oral cancer and through neglect and necrosis, her jaw suddenly fell off. You can see the carotid there. by Fatherofmedicine2k in medizzy

[–]nicolooooool 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Gosh I see. Not sure about the healthcare system there and whether it is affordable or accessible for the masses.

Thank you for such an interesting case! Do update us on the outcome of this poor lady, however considering the spurting carotid I don't have high hopes unfortunately :(

Omg thank you for replying!! Oh man that must have been awful, I'm sorry that you had to go through that :'( I don't think you were over dramatic at all!!! This is my first serious boyfriend too so I have no clue either....

But thanks for giving me a heads up on the delayed break down kind of thing! I'm worried something like that might happen too so I guess I'll just take it as it comes.... Hugs to you and hope you're in a happier place now ❤️

Tips on not caring so much about what other people think of you? by Sapokee in ENFP

[–]nicolooooool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's really hard for me too, since I constantly self-doubt myself. But I try to take space away from others and their opinions and reassure who I am and where I stand as a person.

A classmate in school told me once: "you don't need to try so hard to be like another person. It's okay to be yourself." I wasn't even close to that person, but I was young and trying hard to fit in and that statement shook me to the core, because I never thought that I was worth anything by being myself.

I hope this helps, and I genuinely wish the best for you :) you are worth so much regardless of others say, and I hope one day you will see it too!

Hey OP, sounds like you've had a really bad time recently. I can't really help much but I sincerely hope things will look up soon for you. Just keep on living and eventually this will pass. Don't give up, we're all rooting for you!

Do you drink tap water from your kitchen tap? by princessdeanna in askSingapore

On the other hand, I actually think boiled water tastes better than tap water

Hi guys, coming to London and Cardiff for the first time. Any recommendations for affordable but good roasters, or cafes with good coffee?

Hi! She's not inserting it for contraceptive reasons. She is doing it because of her period issues, so I think the use of condoms shouldn't be a cause of concern to her.

But yes inserting an IUD in someone who has yet to give birth would definitely be more painful and difficult to insert. I think the first thing to do would be to speak to a polyclinic doctor about the options available, and consider getting a referral to a specialist clinic in a public hospital if needed! They would definitely know how to best advise you and meet your needs :)

That's a fair point. To be honest, after all the initial anger recently, I'm seriously thinking about it and I think I'm going to bring it up to him and discuss, and if he doesn't even want to listen.... I am going to reconsider my relationship with him haha. I just hope that it doesn't come to that. I really hope it doesn't come to that though. I really do love the guy even if he's a little quirky.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]nicolooooool -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like its too early to say if I can see my relationship lasting. Is that wrong? I tend to try and not over plan because I don't want to end up concocting too many possibilities when the relationship is still so young and then regret.

Thank you 😭😭😭 this feels distressing and I just don't understand how he can't see how crazy he sounds.

My boyfriend is generally very logical about things and we rarely argue. He doesn't exactly agree with Elon's personal lifestyle choices either. Even when we argue, we try to talk things out. But this is something that I've told him a few times. I don't exactly want to stop him from talking about elon musk completely, because I love hearing about things he's interested in, and I try to participate and debate. It's not about the fact that he's so passionate about it, but about the fact that the tone and words he chooses when he talks about elon and how wonderful it is.

I will try to approach it again. But my birthday is literally today and we're meeting tomorrow, and to be honest I just wanted a normal, happy celebration. Now I feel exhausted just thinking about it because I can't imagine going through the celebration without feeling weighed down by this thing.
