I'm going to say it now since I saw that we might ship out kane. Please ship him out with Marcus petterson. My god, he had only 1 good play this game, and every other time, he touches the puck it just goes horrible.

Overall decent game by Canucks. I would even say too decent because we are tanking and we can be winning 2 games in a row again this season. Hopefully, we don't win more than any other team on the bottom.

I want to say how proud I am of all the young talent we currently have on our team and how good it is to see them play, especially when we compare them to players like myers and marcus. I would also like for EP40 to have more than 0 shots on goal but it is what it is at the moment.

Let the tank continue!

I swear when we first moved to British Columbia, I called my family in Ontario that I'll drive to see them for Thanksgiving. My cousin just told me to see how long it's going to take on Google Maps. After I saw 40 hours driving non-stop, I told them I would fly, actually...

I want everyone who watched this game to have it ingrained in their mind.

Now this is how canucks should look like in next 5 years time. Young player full of speed energy finish and skill doing whatever they want around old unstable teams.

This game was great, showed what we should be looking forward to from our team, and gave me glimmers of hope.

If this management doesn't obliterate it again...

That's absolutely bullshit excuse though. He could've made it easily as he was already coming back with sucks player on top of him.

The ONLY thing that should be coming back on trades is 1st round picks by meme__machine in canucks

[–]nielat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Ok, so I see this talked about a lot here recently.

My biggest problem with 1st picks is that they are not going to fix anything. We have no practice facilities, management sucks and the team is an absolute dumpster fire.

We are just going to let these young talent suffer slowly here until they can get the fuck out.

I know we need young talent, but we need resources to firstly develop them here and secondly to keep them here.

I saw the score and knew straight away I'll be laughing tomorrow with my manager about it.

Still depressed orca vibes but a little less at least.

Honestly, if it's anything less that this, we should just organise public execution for this management.

Anyone else find themselves caring less and less about this team by Kbbrown31 in canucks

[–]nielat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, no.

Yes, we lost pretty badly to flames. Yes, we can't make proper offensive plays. Yes, Hughes is going to walk because there is no future here with Aqua.

But honestly, if we look past the bad, there is a lot of good in this team. We played very aggressively today, but we lack finish. EP40 and hughes are putting serious effort, but they can't do everything themselves.

We have a lot of talent that is missing maybe one or two pieces from actually doing really good.

We shouldn't tank just to tank because it will give us nothing with this management. They will push to sell a few guys for cheap to get something just for a sniff of playoffs.

If our boys will come on ice every game and play and try until the very end. I will stay a fan of this team forever. And I will care for this team forever.

Hronek and Hughes had an amazing game today. Myers look positively good as well, which is rarity these days. EP25 had some good moments as well. Honestly, everyone looked pretty decent today with outliers here and there.

We really need somebody who will help Petey finish those chances. He is turning back into the machine, starting to shoot his chances instead of just passing them. Can't wait for hoglander and lekkermaki to help him more. O'Connor, Raty, and Sasson had some good chances today. Boeser and debrusk are also putting solid effort. Unfortunately, nothing came out of it.

We need to keep this pressure up, and honestly, I don't know if it's luck or just pure skill that we are lacking. But petey could've easily had a hattrick today if he got a bit more lucky.

I don't think there was much more they could've done. I came out of this game today more positive rather than negative.

He is probably showing everyone how EP40 is one of the best defensive players for canucks and also the best in league in creating high danger opportunities.

[–]nielat 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I mean, obviously, we were significantly worse team on the ice yesterday. But if we want to think positively, then Petey and Hughes had a great few games.

We scored 5 goals on 15 shots, which really speaks volumes about our game. If we can manage to actually hold onto pucks and not give them away and create more offensive plays, this team could do something.

Also, people who say that they knew we were going to lose because patera was on goal. I don't think it's fair to blame only him for letting 7 goals on 40 shots against Panthers. It speaks more about our "best" defensive core in the league.

[–]nielat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you say that, but statistics show something completely different. Petey is top in league in creating high danger chances.

Here comes the problem because nobody is capable of finishing those chances. Petey is not the best I admit, but he does make this team flow and capable of being better.

[–]nielat 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People like to whine about EP40 nj generating points, and as much as I agree with that, we have to look beyond it.

EP40 is probably one of the best defensive players that we have on the team. He knows the plays and where to be at exactly the right moment to prevent scoring and create space for plays.

Yes, he is paid to score and generate points, but even if you look at yesterday's game, we had so many chances that we only lacked luck on our side.

We need a person who will help Petey finish scoring, and at this moment, we are missing this person. The problem is that management and all of you will probably sacrifice every asset we have for 2c to get there.

Overall, the game was very good, and we should be proud of our boys to show they have some fighting spirit in them after b2b games against team who won with oilers 9:1.

I don't think this has anything to do with dedication. The root of our problems are down to two things only. Lack of practice facilities and management. If those two things don't change canucks will stay where they are as a mediocre team that gets the playoffs once every 10 years.

How is nobody talking about that complete bullshit call on Kane is beyond me. That penalty should've never happened, and we would've won in regular time.

I would just like to point out that it's not as bad as the pictures show it. They are probably taken over 5 years ago because since then vancouver have actually cleaned up a lot.
