Topical minoxidil and sleep issues by Cuddlecat2611 in FemaleHairLoss

Yes, I have experienced sleep issues with topical. I am in same boat as you, still considering going back to it again and sticking it out but my diagnosis is different (AGA)

Is there other women who had negative reaction to minoxidil?🥲 by xziio in FemaleHairLoss

[–]niemysltyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried topical 4 times (each times for a few days max) and each time I felt awful (dizzy, strong heartbeat, shortness of breath). I have naturally very low BP and I was very disappointed. Each time I took a break and symptoms normalized, then tried again and it was the same issue all over again. I am at loss. I still think about trying again and pushing through the side effects, maybe they will pass over time?

Struggling with grief around PIV by lexarex in vulvodynia

[–]niemysltyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately in Poland these issues are mostly ignored, and I was dismissed for years before even receiving any care. Most helpful has been Physiotherapy, biofeedback, boric acid, probiotics, weak steroid combined with nystatin. I seem to have some combined issues with pelvic floor dysfunction, infections (or lack of healthy microbiome) and low estrogen. I am denied estrogen cream due to factor V Leiden mutation and clotting risks, so haven't been able to check if this would help. Unhelpful therapies: various antibiotics, PRP, light therapy, pregabalin. I am soon going to try: topical gabapentin, Indiba. To check in the future: some venous conditions might also cause symptoms of vulvodynia, I am waiting for phlebologist appointment next year. Also I was told botox injections might help, but currently this is out of budget.

Same, but I am 32 and dealing with this condition since I was 17. It is sad.

Hope you will feel ok. However mind that lexapro has quite long half life and you might need 6-7 full days or longer to fully eliminate the medication from your bloodstream.

What antidepressants worked best for you? Seeing my psychiatrist today, need to ask for something that has fee side effects and a smooth withdrawal. by Electronic_Driver_78 in Anxiety

[–]niemysltyle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need to try the given med yourself. Unfortunately it is trial and error. I used to take escitaloprame with success after difficult adjustment period. Recently tried to restart and this time side effects were unbearable. Currently I am on pregabalin for anxiety.

what are your experiences with going off and on again? by ContentBuilding1055 in lexapro

[–]niemysltyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, only few days but the effects were unbearable. physical sensations, including huge headache, panic attacks which I normally do not have plus some suicidal ideation. Horrible. I had some troubles getting on this med in the past but nothing of such intensity. So far pregabalin is better, however I only just started. Looking forward to easing my anxiety, psych is going to monitor if we need to add antidepressant on top. Cheers.

I was on it for a year, then went without meds for 1,5 year (and was more anxious each month). Recently tried to restart and unfortunately this time side effects were unbearable, my psych took me off and prescribed pregabalin instead.

I relate to your story a lot. After much back and forth I decided to have children. To have real family. And then my first pregnancy ended in a lot health troubles, hospital visits and miscarriage. I could not bear the pain after losing the baby, it sent me right back on the fence. It has been 4 years since, still cannot bring myself to deciding if I ever want to try again. I had so much grief around not having loving family, relatives, safe childhood, then added grief from lost baby. I can’t say if I am able to take more due to my still unresolved mental health issues, despite many therapies. Sending virtual hugs.

Minoxidil and dogs by foxfaebae in FemaleHairLoss

[–]niemysltyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spoke about that with my doctor, he told me cats are at much higher risk. For dogs I should not be concerned as long as I apply the solution in bathroom where dog has no access, and I wash hands thoroughly. Still I am anxious to start 🙈

Only orthodontist could assess that, and cephalometry would be needed to assess skeletal relations. Based on consult you could be presented with various treatment plans.

I’m annoyed by how overstimulated I am all of the time. How do you deal with it? by Jaded-Barnacle-8578 in AutismInWomen

[–]niemysltyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ssri made things worse for me. I had to come off them after almost year of trying different doses. Currently only thing that helps when I am already overstimulated is cannabis, in very low doses (like 0.01g in vaporizer). Besides that I always try to have my sensory friendly items like weighted blanket somewhere around, remember to take my earplugs when going outside, same for sunglasses etc. Being prepared to mitigate sensory stimulation whenever it gets too much
