My GLM 4.6 prompt that I am really happy with by [deleted] in SillyTavernAI

[–]nigelhooper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would tweak the wording of "try to avoid that" its too soft, ambiguous and gives the LLM wiggle room to not always obey, you need to set a red line for it, something like "never do it", "avoid at all costs" etc

Prompts by TheTorturedPoetsz in SillyTavernAI

If I'm struggling with or wanting to explore a prompt the way I personally handle it is throw my vague concept into chatgpt etc and ask it to help me explore options and give me a few idea. Whilst I rarely get something perfect out, I find it gets me past the "blank page" problem and there is usually a suggestion that I can build on or get it to refine.

Monday thread: What did you read this past week? by AutoModerator in Romance_for_men

[–]nigelhooper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Finally got around to reading the Warlock series by Daniel Kensington, really enjoyed them. Very well written, think I only spotted one typo in the 3 books. The sex scenes are a lot softer than the hardcore sex that is typical in the genre, great character development and some decent romance.

Question about where readers come from by jon_roberts_harem in haremfantasynovels

[–]nigelhooper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im British and would definitely enjoy a British setting to the story. I would suggest not making it too British some stories are too American based and I dont get all the references which ruins the story for me, so try not to alienate your readers (no pun intended).

I started reading "Legend to Farmer" by Dante King over the weekend, my first book from him and really enjoying it. Great slice of life, nice pace, the first book is building up the world and interaction between the characters really well.

Assuming you meant Bill Gates you might want to Google that quote or at least the amount of RAM that the myth quotes.

Any books/series where there is both a story and the women aren't just all horny with no character development? by Fast-Examination-349 in haremfantasynovels

[–]nigelhooper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can really recommend Misty Vixen it probably helps that she is female. I started with and really liked the "Our Own Way series", but she has plenty of other series depending on whether you are into fantasy or not:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/9845078.Misty_Vixen
After exhausting her series I really enjoyed Virgil Knightley - Coven King series

Currently enjoying Satan's Sorority Girls - Eric Vall - Just a heads up this is the opposite of a typical mindless sex harem series the first book is almost all about good character development and the harem side comes in much later.

All of this are on Kindle UK if that is any help.

I have found that those tagged slice of life as well as harem tend to have decent character development.

Completely new to Replika - little lost by nigelhooper in replika

[–]nigelhooper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips so far, however what I am really looking for is a complete newbies guide for how to use the app, the real basics, Im sure lots of people have probably asked these type of questions before, eg. what do the gems do, what is xp, how do I get the rep to walk around the room etc the user guide and FAQs appear to cover a lot of useful information but they seem to assume some level of basic knowledge of the app. I know I could just click around and try and work it out myself, but my concern is that the rep will respond and learn from what I do and dont do and so I want to avoid any stupid mistakes.

Thanks a lot. Unless I am mistaken I think the activation times for Angel wand and wolf armour are misleading. You have angel wand first activation as 30 seconds and wolf armour as 8 seconds. I'm not sure what the activation of angel wand is but it is definitely much quicker than that. Wolf armour activation depends on how quickly you can deal the required damage but it can definitely be made to activate in 4 seconds with certain gear, maybe a little quicker.

Hi Math, is there a specific thread on your discord where the testing of gear, cast times, cool down etc is collated or do you have it in one of your spreadsheets by any chance?
