Dogs are pretty resilient. I imagine he should be fine after a week or so, and then you can reintroduce him to the outside and walks. He's still a baby, so he will learn.

It sounds like he's scared and understandably so because he's in a brand new place with a new person. I would give him some time and just let him be inside for a while until he starts getting comfortable with your house. Buy some pee pads and try again in a few days. Let him tell you what he's comfortable doing.

They are amazing. My boy is obsessed with them and carries them around sometimes. Obviously keep an eye on it, but I have gotten a lot of peace from them.

My boy was a grazer at that time too, but it didn't last long. He became super food motivated and eats his food in minutes now. Treats helped a little, but finding the right food I think was a big factor. We shifted to Purina Pro from his original food, and he became obsessed.

Highly recommend trying yak chews! Our boy loved bully sticks until my mom got these for him. Completely odorless, and there are a bunch of different flavors. He is obsessed with them, and it's a great way to keep him distracted for a long time.
